Storm is a lost cause in my eyes. I don't believe TNA has enough faith in him to make him a top guy anymore and if they do, they're doing him a terrible disservice by booking him to be the biggest loser in the company. Also don't forget he got his big moment at BFG halved because creative changed plans and took the title off Roode so Storm's ultimate revenge of beating Roode for the title at BFG was erased.

Even if TNa actually tries pushing Storm and try to give him some credibility, it's going to fail and they'll have only themselves to blame.

And the best of WWF, I'm saying this as one of the biggest russo haters in this forum.
What is your booking experience? Did you write for WWE, TNA or ROH?
You're just a fan like me... spoilers, you don't know how to book a money drawing babyface and neither do I.

PS: If you go back and look at the impact spoilers topic I was one of the first guys to say Storm losing against roode was a bad decision, but now it's party time for the rest.

Storm should have never won the 3 way match, Hardy vs Storm is not the feud to make

I know what has and hasn't worked in the past. TNA rarely do what has worked for any sustained period of time. I am sure Storms TURN with the title two years after it was the right time to pull the trigger will be great.

Seems like a classic underdog story to me. You see a guy get so close to his dreams but they still manage to just be out of his reach. I cheer for a guy like that. It's all about the chase.

The thing is, this is what TNA almost always does. Samoa Joe was red hot in 2005 and 2006 and they never put the title on him and waited until 2008 after he'd long since cooled off and been used to put over Angle. Even Bobby Roode last year. Guy is built perfectly, wins the BFG series and fails against an injured Kurt Angle at BFG then loses all his momentum just to win the title 2 weeks later. There are times when TNA looks like they have no idea what they're doing.

Roode losing to Angle was the best decision TNA ever made.
And Storm was supposed to beat Roode for the title at BFG, fans started calling it "PREDICTABLE".
Then of course, around BFG all started crying saying Roode vs Storm would be a better main event for the title(no shit sherlock)

Why was it a good decision? It made Roode look like a fool. Him winning 2 weeks later was not only pointless, but also made Storm look like a fool.

There's predictable good and predictable bad. If the angle sucks then the ending is gonna suck. All wrestling angles are inherently predictable. As long as you make the journey to the end, which is the more important part, amazing, having a predictable outcome is ok. Storm beating Roode for the title at BFG was the ONLY logical way to end their year long feud and they changed it for no reason other than to be different which is the dumbest reason to do something.

What would be the reason for Roode to betray Storm?
That was the beginning of the selfish generation, at that moment Roode understood being mr. nice guy takes you nowhere. For once the result of a wrestling match meant something, best character angle in years.

I'll tell you exactly and this is how I would've booked it, it wouldn't even be that much different. Now I'll admit that I've never booked for any wrestling company, but I've been watching wrestling for nearly 20 years and I like to think I have a basic understanding of good story telling vs. bad story telling. Firstly Roode wins at Bound For Glory. He was too perfectly built up to come up short in the biggest match of his career. The following Thursday on Impact, Roode offers James Storm the first title shot out of friendship.

2 weeks later you do the match and you do the same finish they had. Roode takes the beer bottle and smashes it over Storm's head. Now you have the match be ultra competitive with tons of near falls, particularly for Storm. Roode uses the beer bottle out of desperation to keep that title. He needs that belt like a junkie needs a fix. After that you can proceed as the actual feud went, however now Storm is chasing that belt to finally win it for the first time and win it from the best friend who screwed him out of it.
