I love how the OP comes here saying he's thinking about watching TNA because of the aces/eights and everyone says TNA sucks because of them. Very ironic...

You missed Aries title quest + victory during the live summer and you decided to start watching around thanksgiving taped show, in the middle of 3 filler ppvs in orlando... bad luck.

The wrestling is still good, for example last week storm vs roode was a good match. The ppvs are always solid since prichard came in and there's still some interesting minor character angles like:
- morgan/ryan anti-establishment story
- wes brisco rises
- aj styles fall
- joseph park goes to wrestling school (I hope they show us some segments of it)
- bully ray weird face run
etc

This week they got a better tv rating than all those "good shows" most members here liked, maybe something is off.

In the end, it's up to you to decide.

If OP has never seen TNA before he should stop off in the DVD/Match Discussion thread and ask for some recommendations to the top matches & PPVs with the promotion.

This year has had some strong stuff. Such as their pretty consistent summer and glorious Austin Aries streak of PPV matches.

OP, donwload/order Sacrifice and start catching up after that show. Roode, Aries, Storm, Ray, Joe, Daniels, Kazarian have all had tremendous year and pretty much anything involving them is awesome.

It's okay now, but to me the Aces and Eights thing is just...lifeless. TNA is at it's best when it's wrestling focused, like the Bound For Glory Series.
I have to agree with this. While I started watching TNA during the last 6 months of the Immortal storyline (so I must have enjoyed it back then), the last 12 months (which pretty much focussed on the wrestlers i.e Roode/Storm; Aries dominating the X Division; Ray/Park; Kazaniels/AJ) was SO much better than when I started watching, it's untrue. The Aces and 8s thing didn't interest me when it started, got vaguely intriguing about 3 months ago and has been tapering off interest-wise since then.

I'd have rather seen Aries get a decent shot at a Championship reign than have him (and others) pushed into the background while they focussed on the Aces and 8s. It's been okay but I'll be glad when it's finished, to be honest, and we can get back to one-on-one feuding and WHC/TV title belt chasing.

Genesis 2011 - anderson beats hardy for the title
Against All Odds 2011 - hardy beats anderson for the title
Victory Road 2011 - you know what happened (sting defeats hardy for da belt)

so far 3 world title changes in 3 months, ZERO new talent in the main event

Lockdown 2011 - Sting (c) vs RVD vs Mr. Anderson
Sacrifice 2011 - Sting (c) vs RVD
Slammiversary 2011 - Anderson beats Sting

3 more ppvs... in 6 ppvs, only ex-WWE/WCW guys and one more title change. Anderson joins Immortal as a heel and then loses the belt for no reason, turns face afterwards just because.

Destination X 2011 - first all x division ppv (thank god, new talent in the main event)
Hardcore Justice 2011 - Angle beats Sting for the title, what?
No Surrender 2011 - Angle (c) vs Sting vs Anderson, Angle wins.

Bound For Glory 2011 - Angle (c) vs Bobby Roode (the gods of wrestling heard us! NEW TALENT!)

One year, 6 world title reigns, one TNA original in the main event.

I prefer ROH and NJPW, but I must admit I have been more into TNA lately, and certainly hope to see them grow. I might even buy an upcoming ppv for the first time in quite a while.

I am enjoying tna at the moment, I just wish they wouldn't try and be like the wwe so much, they are a small company so I wish they had a lower budget feel I.e less lights etc, less hd screens, maybe be a bit more old school with a small entrance way. Just a minor thing that personally I would prefer but obviously the in ring action is more important.

They don't want to be "like" the WWE, they want to become as big as the WWE.. One of the things to accomplish this is with more screens, lights, etc.. Just a professional feeling. It's not the first thing they should worry about though: THEY NEED TO GTFO OF THE DAMN IMPACT ZONE!

Dont let the Ace N Eights storyline be the reason you watch TNA, or you will be utterly disappointed...
