I think it's time for Jeff...

To stop using The Swanton. All those years of doing it are finally catching up to him and his back and spine. He was noticable in pain at the house show the other day placing ice on his back. And its also noticable during Impact as well with him wincing and putting a hand on his back when he comes out as of late.

He should use the Twist of Fate from now on as a Finisher and save the Swanton for special occasions. Something bad could happen to him I fear if he keeps doing it on a consistent basis.

Nah, he doesn't know any better. He will continue free falling through the air until he paralyzes himself. CREATURES, WE DID IT!

Re: I think its time for Jeff.

I doubt the Swanton is the problem. The guy is just old and beat up. People give RVD all kinds of shit for being 'old and out of shape' but the dude is still doing 450 splashes and kicking peoples heads off. Hardy can barely pull off the most basic moves which kind of sucks. Feel bad for the guy.

No people give RVD shit for not putting his heart into it anymore.

As for Jeff, he should cut down on doing crazy shit but I don't see that happening.

Seriously? Besides the ladder match when has Jeff done 'crazy shit' recently. He's massively cut down.

Re: I think its time for Jeff.

Swanton isn't the problem. That was gonna take effect on his body no matter what. That's the nature of the beast. (and the biz)

Jeff doesn't mind, and even likes to do, the high risk stuff. He knows the risks involved. If he is willing to live with the pain, then so be it. Can't say he doesn't have some passion left to do the things he does. Unlike RVD.

Re: I think its time for Jeff.

He's been icing his back immediately after matches since he came back last year. At the house show I went to in January, homeboy gave no fucks, unbuckled his pants and the ref placed an ice pack on his lower back right after his match with Roode. I appreciated it. He's trying to avoid back surgery.

I'm suspecting that he's feeling it more now than ever not only because he's getting older but with his probation officer on his ass, he can't run to opiates to numb it.

Re: I think it's time for Jeff...

It's wrestling people, high flyers usually retire at their 40's.
Hardy has been doing it since he was a teenager, he's living it while he can.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.
