What do you think about a storyline where AJ Styles joins Daniels and Kazarian in a next few weeks and forms Fourtune with another member? I know it's highly unlikely but since AJ has nothing else to do after losing a shot at WHC, and WTTCOTW are probably out of the WTTC picture, would this be a good storyline for them to make an impact on Impact?
Pretty sure they finally did settle on Fortune, not Fourtune Anyway, I wouldn't mind them reforming, but they are clearly setting up Styles to be the babyface to win the title at BFG next year.
Aj gonna turn during the match and fourtune(Roode,Aj Daniels and Kaz) will reunite and probably feud with Storm going by theses tapings which look ok I guess
Styles doesn't even need to turn heel.
If you look back, everything started with daniels saying AJ is too naive.
Being mr. nice guy isn't working for AJ, a more serious persona should be used to revitalize a stale character.
Also, I think they are building up Storm vs Styles for a future big title match at either lockdown or genesis.
While I wouldn't mind Fortune re-forming, I think it would be better if they were faces forced to come together to fight against Aces & 8's. I feel that TNA could build up A&8's to run roughshod on the whole company and force Hogan to do the one thing left possible.
Hogan could ask Fortune to come back together for one last run for the good of the whole company. In the first few weeks we could have the whole trust issues between the whole group before week by week, Fortune realise that they have no choice but to work together or get destroyed.
This could lead to the final showdown between Fortune and A&8's at BFG 2013 with Fortune facing off against A&8's throughout the PPV.
We could have matches like:
AJ vs Aries (aligned with A&8's to regain the championship)
Beer Money vs MCMG (could be the first time that Beer Money team up since they broke up)
Kaz vs someone like DOC
Daniels beats Styles at Final Resolution. After the match, Styles has a confused look on his face, which quickly turns into rage. He starts throwing shit around, and when officials try to calm him down, he starts kicking their ass. After that he fast walks to the back continuously looking back at the ring.
A company as obsessed with storyline continuity as TNA is under the current booking regime isn't going to reform Fortune right now. AJ Styles has good reason to hate Daniels and Kaz and they probably won't be seen hanging out together even if they are all heels. It simply wouldn't be logical for AJ to join them when he's been feuding with them for a year and a half now, especially not when you consider just how intense the feud is.
AJ's probably going to go on a long losing streak until he finally snaps, probably on RVD to set up a feud for RVD's X Division Title, which is the loophole for AJ to get his World Title shot. Either that or AJ overcomes his issues and goes on to win the BFG Series and become the champion at Bound for Glory.
TNA has good taste in tag teams but bad taste in factions. Immortal was destroying TNA in 2011, Aces & Eights are destroying TNA now.
Fortune as a face stable could be: (v1)
-AJ Styles
-Daniels turning face
-Kazarian turning face
-Storm
vs
Another stable with a generic name
-Roode, as opposed to Storm
-Matt Morgan, as someone who wants to make and Impact
-Joey Ryan, who's with Morgan
-Kid Kash, Magnus, or another heel
Fortune as a face stable could be: (v2)
-AJ Styles
-James Storm
-Douglas Williams, to make use of him
-Another great face like RVD
vs
Another stable with a generic name
-Matt Morgan
-Joey Ryan, as opposed to RVD
-Daniels
-Kazarian
Fortune as a heel stable could be:
-AJ turning heel
-Daniels
-Kazarian
-Roode
vs
Another stable with a generic name:
-Storm
-Douglas Williams
-And two great faces like Kurt Angle, Bully Ray, RVD, Aries turning, even Hardy....
Their clearly gonna go with AJ on a losing streak before building him back up to the title. Nothin would sink him faster than a clean loss to his archenemy on PPV.
My guess is he does feud with RVD for the x title as the loophole to get the shot at Destination x next year.
I dont see him really turning heel. They just went through the whole Claire Lynch botchamania to see how virtuous AJ is, and how sleazy WTTotW are. Honestly, I don't think it matters if he is face or heel, AJ is still probably the best known "TNA guy" and he will still get cheered, not to say he couldnt get the heat, people want to cheer AJ Styles. He is a "high flying heavyweight" which means that he would have to change to a more technical approach in the ring and abandon his current (and in my opinion his most effective) in ring style.
If he does turn, that means we will have a ton of upper level heels, in addition to Aces and Eights... that seems like there isn't enough to go around, but AJ vs Storm and AJ forming a stable with someone like Matt Morgan and Joey Ryan would be fun. A heel turn would have potential at another time, but as of right now, TNA has too many guys on that side.
AJ Styles has always been a much better and utilized face. He was slightly a better heel than usual when he was with Ric Flair, but then that fell by the waist. At the very least, AJ got better on the mic by being with Flair. Other than that, given his size and history in TNA, AJ is best as a face.
I definately don't see Styles turning heel. I see him fueding with Daniels, facing him at Final Resolution, and losing. Styles then takes a bit of time off, and returns more focused than ever in early 2013.
Eventually, this leads to him winning the World Title back at Bound For Glory next year. That's where I see TNA going with Styles.
Holy shit if Daniels beats Styles in their final battle, it'd mean so much to Daniels' credibility. And then, to move on to the WHC picture, it's be just perfect.
If they wanted to go another way with this storyline, they could go another way and have him go on such a roll that it would make a mockery of the results for him not to get a world title shot, they could even have him pick up both the tv title and the x division one along the way to emphasize the point.
In any case while he doesn't need a heel turn, his character needs to become more selfish as a face and get away from being too much of a doormat like he has been.
I don't see AJ Styles turning heel as he only turned babyface again a year and a half ago and is seen by many as the face of the company whilst Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Matt Morgan and Aces And Eights are all already heels with Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, James Storm, Bully Ray and AJ Styles himself as babyfaces so a heel turn would leave the roster very lopsided.
Where it is probably leading to and is designed to do is get the sympathy thing going for AJ Styles which will make him more popular and then over the course of a year he will get more momentum before going on to win The Bound For Glory Series and hopefully win the World title. I believe that TNA has held off on doing AJ Styles and Austin Aries for a reason and i seriously see Styles/Aries for the World title as the main event for Bound For Glory next year which potentially could be one of the single greatest matches in TNA history.
