Re: TNA shouldn't talk about ripping things off
Honestly, who cares? I mean really, if it makes the product better by taking something from the competition and intelligently integrating that into your show (no matter which way) I don't see the problem. Taking ideas is good, smart even as long as it's done right and not outright shameless.

Dear Brad Maddox,
Garrett Bischoff called and wants his gimmick back.

They ripped off Rob Zombie's Hobo Michael Myers with Abyss

They ripped off the joker with Sting

They ripped off the Jersey Shore

Now they're ripping off Sons Of Anarchy with Aces and Eights

TNA seems to just look around on tv and in movies to get alot of their ideas. So anyone from TNA shouldn't be saying anything about WWE ripping stuff off, just saying. As i said i'm not making this to bash TNA but i just thought it was funny that TNA was upset about WWE ripping them off considering how many movies and shows they rip off.

Did you come up with that all by yourself? IMPRESSIVE! I would of never thunk a wrestling show, whose sole purpose of existing is to entertain, would go to those awful measures of obtaining and borrowing other entertainers' work to bring in appeal to the company. Would of NEVER thunk it. Thank you for opening my eyes to this harsh reality.

Re: TNA shouldn't talk about ripping things off
I think "ripping off" and being "influenced by" are totally different things. Wrestling has always been influenced by popular culture. That's not "ripping off" anyone.
Now if a wrestling organization sees something one organization does and tries to do the same thing, I could see that as ripping off.

Re: TNA shouldn't talk about ripping things off
WWE went after the worst angles from TNA between 2011-2012:
Claire lynch and Garrett Bischoff.
Too bad double E doesn't have the equivalent of KAZ/Daniels on their show.

-footage caught from someone else
-used as blackmail, trying to get exposed by an enemy (kaz-daniels/vickie)
-face of the company/person with power on the show (Styles/cena. AJ/Dixie)
- two involved named AJ

Re: TNA shouldn't talk about ripping things off
Everyone knows that since day one TNA has followed in step with everything WWE has done. This is NOTHING new. TNA loves mentioning WWE at any chance they get.

Re: TNA shouldn't talk about ripping things off
WWF stole WCW's top quality presentation and added ECW's hardcore attitude.
WCW stole the entire WWF roster and a few ECW wrestlers.
ECW was more original than the other... not by the OP standards because they stole a lot of shit from pop culture too.

Re: TNA shouldn't talk about ripping things off
That's the nature of the biz. Sometimes evolving means taking what one has done and using it to your advantage (a la WWF's tv production upping itself in the late 90's to compete w/WCW)
Although the only promotion I think that was blatant about stealing stuff was WCW. Bischoff didn't care. I loved that place, but we got to be real here.

Re: TNA shouldn't talk about ripping things off
Basically every angle has been done in wrestling already, everything that you see in TNA and WWE these days is just a variation of old storylines. If nothing was 'stolen' then mainstream North American wrestling would be even more boring than it is right now, which would be an incredible achievement.
