I started watching TNA for the first time just before Storm got the belt and he kept it only a week before he lost it, which in my opinion makes him look like he wasn't good enough to keep it. Why would they do that to him?

Has anyone held it for less time than Storm?

I think Storm held it the shortest. Even Mick Foley held the title longer than him!

If I'm not mistaken, Rhino held it for like three days in 2005.

Impact was airing on Saturdays and taping on the Monday before (I think). If I recall correctly, Rhino held the belt through the first show and then dropped it on the second show taped right afterwards to Jarrett and that show was a two hour special that aired the next Thursday.

Don't quote me on that, but I think that is the shortest reign.

I do believe you are correct and its rhino, which is sad. Rhino has proven in TNA he could go with just about ANYONE, but nooooo we had to return back to planet jarret lol

But why give both of them the belt for so short a time? Don't they realize it makes them both look like losers who can't keep the belt for more than a few days? What's the strategy?

I can't comment on the Rhyno reign, but the Storm reign did have some reasoning behind it. It's what really kickstarted the whole year-long feud with Roode, which was epic. With the way that he lost the belt and the way their feud was booked, he really didn't look "weak" at all.

Rhino held it for one day in 2005 won it at tna bfg (Sunday) lost it to jeff j. the next day at bcw (Monday)
