Did anyone else notice that AJ made a reference to the fact that WWE stole the Clair Lynch storyline? he said "While you were the Champion I was dealing with some issues, not my issues but someone elses. Where pictures were being taking, video's were being made of AJ Styles getting into an elevator with someone of the opposite sex, Seems to be the new fad if your names AJ" :D

1:03:40 in this video if you want to hear it

I agree. AJ's not great on the mic like a Daniels or a Ray but that's a good description of his mic skills - "solid." He can be trusted to deliver promos and to deliver them convincingly. He does the job and he does it without flubbing.

He's not exactly like Hardy where they have to start redefining the rules of the TV wrestling genre by having him read a voiceover rather than just yelling, "Creatures!"

God i couldn't believe he actually said that. Jesus would they just let it go, first Kurt now AJ Styles. First off the AJ Claire Lynch storyline was pure shit and no one would ever wanna copy that crap. Second its completely different, Styles was being accused of impregnating a crack whore and being blackmailed. Cena and AJ is just supposedly having an affair, no drugs, no pregnancy, no paternity tests just an affair. TNA didn't invent the affair storyline its been done countless times even before TNA did it.

Now if AJ came out saying shes had a bad drug problem and that shes now pregnant and wants John to take responsibility, then you can say they're copying that horrible storyline. But for now the only thing its has similar to it is its an affair storyline, which as i said has been done countless times in the past.

Aside from the OP title, no one is saying otherwise.

But what floors me is that WWE is ripping off one of TNA's really bad ideas. If you are going to take anything from them, take the Bound for Glory Series or the Roode Vs. Storm feud or the rise of Austin Aries. Why on God's green Earth would you rip off....THIS?!
Ask creative. Otherwise, everything is a rip-off and sometimes coincidental.

It was a joke people, no need to get all bitchy and shit.

Obviously both WWE and TNA use ideas from each other, it's no secret.

If AJ was a good talker he would be the best all time performer in pro wrestling history.

Yeah well, it is easy to cry ripoff in this instance. It is pretty obvious.

TNA is guilty of it too. Remember how they ripped off Undertaker's return promos in 2011?

Yes, Nexus and Aces and eights show no similarities to one another either.

That said, I still lol'd slightly when Styles said that :D. At least he didn't wear his merch...

It was funny. Still, I don't know what was up with AJ in that segment. Worst promo I've seen from him in quite a few years.
