Hogan wants TNA out of the IZ

Following last night’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling, a fan Tweeted Hulk Hogan and stated that the Impact Zone is “killing the product.” Hogan said, “Agreed HH tell Dixie (Carter). HH.”

Hogan has been stating for a long time that TNA has to operate with a big-league budget in order to be big-league and part of that is getting out of the Impact Zone.

Perhaps Hogan could be enough persistent to convice Dixie to finally make the move of taking TNA on the road in a weekly basis.

Hogan is right. The IZ was god awful last night. They have to go on the road now. It might be a risk now but it's still going to be a risk in five years. Having Impact on the road is a great way to expand the company. DO IT NOW. Impact would be so much fun if it was on the road every single week.

Sure, we all want TNA on the road, but we really don't know what their budget is like. I thought TNA was finally going to take this step when they started taping those double impact episodes on the road last year and whatnot, but it seems like we're right back in the IZ routine. Logically, the first step would be to take every Pay Per View on the road for a year. But first drop the PPV's to 6 or 8, just like when they had 8 on the road in 2008.

Also, we don't really know TNA's agreement with Universal Studios, and how many shows they have to hold in the IZ. I do feel like 2013 is the year that TNA will have more on the road shows than ever.

This is what TNA needs to do in 2013:

-Less PPVs
-More special events on Spike
-More shows on the road
-Fire Tenay and Taz

Re: Hogan wants TNA out of the IZ

This topic has been discussed over and over, but the point is, that their actual concept doesn't allow to be on the road. If they do occasional shows on the road, these shows look bigger than their Pay-Per-Views in the Impact Zone. They also can't stay live and go on the road. Nobody would pay for just half of the roster and one show. Maybe they could fill venues with capacities under 1.000 people, but neither are those made for TV nor they would make any money with it.

The only way I see them going on the road successfully:
- reduce the schedule to 6 PPVs, all of them on the road
- return to tapings, tape two episodes of Impact in one night

Even that would only work, if they choose their venues with much more care than they do now.

You know I like to shit on the IZ every chance I get and it would be an improvement if they could do more shows on the road, but this week's show is the wrong one to blame the fans on. Maybe if they had put on something they could react to they would have.

Stupid idea. They've been live for most of this year and their ratings have GONE DOWN. When they did the London Impacts earlier this year ratings WENT DOWN from the previous weeks (same with other touring Impacts outside of the March 2011 one, which did well because of Sting's return and Sting vs. Jeff Hardy). If they toured Impact every week they'd get shit attendance, lose millions of dollars, and ratings wouldn't go up. Hogan and Bischoff just keep making excuses like this because they're booking a mediocre product that's getting shit ratings, if they want more fans to watch come up with some new interesting ideas. TNA had about 500-600,000 more viewers in 2009 than they do now.

Bischoff and Hogan have nothing to do with the Creative decisions and if they do its at a minimum now
