Does TNA do comeback/Return packages?

Anytime a wrestler makes a return, it's always a surpise. Devon, Matt Morgan and there are others. When Christopher Daniels returned from his hiatus it was a surprise as well. No I know it's always nice to have a surprise return, nobody expected Devon to return so it was good for a shock factor type of thing. But it shouldn't always be the case. When a WWE wrestler makes their return to tv, they have vignettes or video packages. Wade Barrett, Undertaker and Chris Jericho all got them. I think those return packages are great because it makes the wrestler look like a big deal. Not saying that surprise returns that, but once and a while it would be nice.

Anyway does TNA do comback packages, have they done them in the past, or do they just prefer to bring a wrestler back by susprise?

They did it for Sting with the "3/3/11" vignette. They did it for MCMG before Sabin got injured again and they couldn't return. That's about as much as I can remember from the past two years.

That was for his debut, not his comeback/return.

I can tell you one they're guaranteed to do for if he ever recovers enough to wrestle again, Jesse Sorensen.

Same here. But OP don't forget TNA essentially live in a universe which exists outside of all time and space. Wrestlers seemingly come and go without reason so wouldn't it be a bit of a waste to have vignettes for a guy who'll be around for 3 months and then disappear again or will come back and have one appearance and then be gone for another 3 weeks?

I was talking more along the lines, of guys who are supposedly injured/not under contract. for instance, Christopher Daniels left TNA, and returned last year. He was a big deal in TNA, so why no return package for him?

No I got what you meant. I was just stating that in most cases it would be a waste. And in reference to Daniels the circumstances of his return did sort of necessitate a surprise return. Immortal had taken out AJ and Fortune needed help and Daniels came in to avenge his friend, it needed that bit of a shock. Had TNA hyped his return and he came back to help then it wouldn't have made much of a difference he wouldn't have benefitted from it and not having the vignettes hasn't hurt him either. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be nice to have video packages but if they aren't intended to help the wrestlers and they're just there for the sake of it then it doesn't really help anyone. There should be an actual point to having a video package and "he was gone, now he's back" isn't one of them. If TNA don't have serious plans for the guy and if he doesn't already have a good storyline mapped out for him (presumably involving why he left in the first place) then its a bit of a waste.

And plus Jesse Sorensen is bound to have one so you can at least look forward to that one. All I'm saying is less is more and when TNA do decide to use return vignettes then it will be for a good reason and someone can benefit from it.
