i dont remember hardy being that great of a heel

although he certainly got a lot of people angry when he showed up stoned as fuck to fight sting

bully ray really has proved a lot of people wrong, including me

People were also upset that Roode lost to Angle last year at BFG, many times unfavorable things that TNA do end up being great. For example, Hardy's heel run, Bully's single run, the Joseph Park's character, and Bobby Roode losing to Angle leading to his heel turn.
