TNA had more faith in the likes of Christian, Booker, Angle and Hardy rather than Joe. They preferred to bring guys in from WWE and push them towards the TNA title, rather than taking their time and building their own stars.
There have been times in which they have featured the likes of Joe and AJ but they were never really made to look better than the former WWE guys and were barely equals at the best of times.

The best thing for both TNA and Joe is to keep the TV strap on him for a very, very long time.

Russo's depushing booking style. Joe was the biggest and best thing going in TNA with Scott DMore at the helm, but then again so was the awesomeness of Styles, Daniels, LAX, AMW, Paparrazi and much more. Then Russo comes back and everyone instead of looking like a million bucks looks like crap except Kurt Angle. Styles starts carrying Christian's bags on screen, Daniels fades away, LAX job to Team 3D in some sort of electrified cage match and well Joe became a whiney bitch even before the dick is painted on his face. I remember Joe's promos in his feud with Scott Steiner. Such a bad ass. Then all of a sudden he needed Kevin Nash and then Tazto be his mentor? Why? Terrible booking from a terrible booker.
