Yep. I wouldn't mind watching the taped TNA shows but only if they left IZ. IZ has to go for good.

The meteoric rise of RAW was largely taped on the road even when it took the lead IIRC apart from occasional live broadcasts. That wasn't the only factor but it was definitely part of their strategy.
It was a 3 month experiment, which was almost as long as the live experiment was supposed to be. They did one taping a month on the road, so 2 episodes per month were on the road and 2 were in the Impact Zone. The ratings didn't move much, so I think they concluded that being live was more important. They haven't moved much live either, but I think TNA & Spike are happy with the slight increase in buzz on things like social media right now.

They should put the shows up like this: PPV -> Live from the Impact Zone -> Two taped on the road -> Live from the Impact Zone -> PPV

This way the showe before and after the PPV's would be live, and the shows in the middle would be taped, but in front of a hot crowd.

But I assume it costs way more to do taped shows on the road than live shows from the Impact Zone.
I also guess that there is a certain amount of shows TNA has to do from the Impact Zone every year, before being kicked out of the park.

Yes, the crowd was getting way hotter _before_ the live shows started, so being live does not equal hot audience.
I gues the shows was better in the spring, and that's when the crowd got hotter, then during the summer it has declined.

If TNA keeps putting on great shows the Orlando wrestiling fans will attend and the crowd will be hot.
Not sure what happened during the summer but the crowd is off again now.

The "We want Devon" chants during Ray's promo last week was almost (but only almost) as bad as the "We want T-shirts" chant they had some months ago.
