After last night I think we can form a clear opinion on Ryan's mic work (I've not really seen his Indy work) and I think it was rather disappointing. I mean he just seemed to shout into the microphone and got a tad nervous at the beginning. Perhaps this was just one bad night but I couldn't help but be let down by it. Especially since everyone online has been hyping him up as great.

So you took 5 mins of him talking yesterday over 5 years of his work in the indies.
Of course he's nervous the guy has been waiting for a contract in a major promotion for a while now.

I thought it was pretty good! That's what he is known for, being OTT. plus, with the "One day contract" thingy, the storyline gets better. Best thing going on in impact wrestling so far.

Agreed. And now the OP owes us all an apologment for questioning his mic skills based off of that one promo, especially considering we have a whole bunch of Youtube promo's he cut on Gutcheck and TNA.

Dam, appletini daniels is the pioneer of trademarking fucked up promo lines.
Joey Ryan could easily get into the whole KAZ/Daniels douchiness movement.

I thought Joey did fine for the segment. The crowd seemed to be really 'hot' for him. I heard in dude yell a "shuuuttuuuppp" from the crowd. Joey is a great heel, I suggest watch some PWG from earlier this year. I take it he'll win this match, I can't see TNA doing all this hype and having him lose to Al Snow on their biggest PPV of the year.

Imo Joey Ryan is set to be one of the top faces of the X-Division alongside Kenny King and maybe Zema Ion. TNA realised that their X guys from 2005 are getting older and that they need fresh new guys with potential to memorable moments in there.

As for the promo, it was pretty fine, nothing special although he is a natural talker.
