Default Are finishers less impactful nowadays? Kurt v Chavo

I just watched the match between Kurt angle and Chavo this week and at the very end angle uses the angle slam, which is his finisher but when he turns his back Chavo gets straight back up and rolls him up and pins him for a three count. Now I thought finishers are meant to be impactful moves which make you struggle to get up from but Chavo jumped up a second after it happened, are finishers getting less and less impactful nowadays?

he's a wrestling machine and one of the greatest in my opinion, if he hits the angle slam you don't expect someone like chavo to spring back to his feet

It's not the Angle Slam that finishes matches anymore, it's the ankle lock following it.

The Angle Slam hasn't been a powerful move for years, it's expected of Kurt to bust out plenty in his matches. Along w/ suplexes and moonsaults. I enjoyed it finishing a few moves in the bfg series but now that's over I expect him to move back mainly to the ankle lock.

Back in the 80'd and early 90's a suplex would get an easy 3 count and the victim barely able to stabd up.

Now a wrestlet can kick out of 5 suplexes like it never rven happened.

This has cheapened finishers way too much. They should go back to the old way when one finisher was devastating. You can still have exciting matches without seeing someone kick out of 10 finishers in a row.

That ending gave me russo flashbacks but if you think kurt angle or chavo are responsible for that finish you are smoking heavy shit.

What are you talking about? Both men clearly look great and enjoyed seeing two of my favorites putting out a good match. The finish may have been a bit weak but enjoyed the overall match.

Yeah I was pretty disgusted. Chavo got up immediately. And to think this move gave Angle victories over some of the greatest wrestlers/biggest names of all time.

It's really just a signature move now.
