It's not a Kurt Angle match without 9 angle slams. It's been devalued so much over the years.

Well yeah the Angle Slam doesn't really finish people off these days but the move should at least have an affect. The ending to that match was terribly done and the OP has a great point.

The writers need to make an exciting match with one finisher ending the match like it used to br.

When someone jumps up immiediately after a finisher was used it looks way too lame.

Re: Are finishers less impactful nowadays? Kurt v Chavo

Well its Kurt's and the writer's own damn fault

You try to make everyone look good for years by kicking out of several angle slams and five minute ankle locks, this is where you eventually end up

its why wrestlers and finishers need to be protected by booking. otherwise they become a joke and it really fucking hard to have people take them seriously again

The only example in TNA where a finisher is protected is Austin Aries' brain bustaaah. To this day, the only person to have kicked out of it is Alex Shelley at against all odd but other than that it's been clean 1,2,3s

^ Writers are no road agents. And road agents usually just tell the finish (roll-up, in this case).

It was obviously Chavo's fault. #L2sell

Re: Are finishers less impactful nowadays? Kurt v Chavo

Well then its Kurt's fault

He allowed this to happen to his own finisher. Lets not pretend this magically started when Chavo no sold it
