Impact was OK this week. The best parts of the show were Joey Ryan and Bully Ray getting into the Tag Team Match at BFG.

But we've got one more Impact before BFG and I am still not sold on that Aries/Hardy main event at all.

The Storm/Roode segment was great, especially with Roode's mic work, but King Mo felt shoehorned.

There was a little too much "PPV Opponents Wrestling Each Other on TV" going on. Aries & Hardy were in a 3 way main event. Tessmacher & Tara faced each other in a tag. Angle & Chavo faced each other in a tag match. You know, it isn't going to kill you if you save those matches for the PPV, and heck, matches like Anderson Vs. Gunner are good for TV because it showcases more of the talent without giving away PPV encounters. Just saying.

Continue to disappointed with TNA.

Sad when the only thing remotely interesting to me at BFG is Al Snow vs Joey Ryan. The world champ and his challenger have both been beaten by someone not in the main event, Storm/Roode has been killed and now involves some guy in a cape and crown that looks like an idiot, and Aces & Eights has passed the expiration date.

I await the litany of replies saying this was a great show.

Does anyone else here thinks that Aries and Hardy were supposed to do a cheer competition (ala Punk/Cena last year with the 2 wwe titles) but Aries was booed so badly he left the ring before Hardy got his fans cheering for him.... Damn.. Hardy is killing Aries with his popularity in the IZ!! I hope they get 50/50 fans support at BFG.

Was a disappointing IMPACT and unfortunately looks like momentum has slowed down which should be the complete opposite considering BFG is 10 days away. Still have high hopes for BFG though could end up being one of the best TNA PPVs ever if done right.

If proper Wrestling fans show up in Phoenix then Aries could out pop Hardy, the IMPACT zone's atmosphere was especially poor (even more so than normal).

Ryan/Snow was the segment of the night. Average show.

They'll plan an Aries heel turn for BFG but Aries will be the one getting cheered at BFG.

I think the BFG fans will be negative towards Hardy tbh. Never trust IZ reactions.

Overall it was a okay show, certainly not the best of recent broadcasts but not bad. Most matches were decent enough and the Bound for Glory bouts are being set up nicely. It's also fair enough that they had a title match here but I just wish they'd been setting Ion up for a bigger X Division title match for their biggest event of the year, the title really needs more attention right now.

Mr. Anderson and RVD could be on the countdown show (same goes for the Robbie's, Gunner/Kash, EY.) It's hard to think they'll be left off. If Anderson/RVD are not at BFG in ne way, I don't think we'll be seeing them much longer in TNA

Like with Jeff Hardy's contract, reports said TNA management were trying to strong arm Hardy by keeping him off tv and using him to get over other talent (notice Anderson/RVD lost to Joe this past week.) The current theme in TNA is that Pritchard is low balling everyone as far as contracts go (see Matt Morgan, Shelley, Velvet, Devon etc) now whether that's good or not for the company, I guess we'll see.

So Sting want a partner for BFG and he will check some matches on a crappy tv.

Anderson pinned Gunner. Fine little match.
The divas push of the month still is for Tara... I don;t care at all.
OMG!! That Joey Ryan guy is to over the top. It's quite annoying in a very bad way. Everyone who only thinks this guy is great, needs to their eyes and ears checked.
Did Al Snow just call BFG the most amazing show in wrestling?? funny.
Joe looked strong against RVD. RVD looked like a idiot.
Chavo pins Angle... Kurt Angle just lost to Chavo... okey. The match itself was entertaining.
Ion needs to get of my tv.
I have never heard of King Mo in my life, maybe that's because I don;t watch much UFC. He looks like a retard.
The main event was good. Ray won. AA acts way to much like Punk, that's not good.
The whole Aces and 8s story is still horrible.

My eyes and ears are just fine thank you. Do I think he is great ? No, but I think he is good and there is definitely a place for his character within the company.

Did Al Snow just call BFG the most amazing show in wrestling?? funny.
You are right, he should have mentioned that WWE/Wrestlemania is better.

Did you have a problem when Aries put himself over as the best wrestler and TNA over as the best company after he won the title ?

What exactly did you expect Snow to say ?

Ion needs to get of my tv.
So, you are telling us he is doing a good job in his heel role then ?

I have never heard of King Mo in my life, maybe that's because I don;t watch much UFC. He looks like a retard.
He looks like a retard ? What are you 12 ?

And he isn't from the UFC, he was a college wrestler turned mixed martial artist who gained popularity fighting for Strikeforce and Japanese promotion WVR.

The main event was good. Ray won. AA acts way to much like Punk, that's not good.
I think Austin Aries acts like Austin Aries, but yes there are some similarities to Punk. Doesn't bother me in the slightest as loads of wrestlers have similarities to other wrestlers or "borrow" from others.

The whole Aces and 8s story is still horrible.
This opinion seems to be a minority. I have enjoyed it, and have always carried the expectation that it would run to BFG thus it feeling like it's being drug out or moving a little slow doesn't bother me. They certainly have created a buzz with it amongst the IWC and people wanting to know who is behind it and who exactly will be behind the masks.

Great show, like I expected most of the card would be announced this week.
- Joey Ryan looking at the contract saying no was priceless.
- Joe owning some bitches and RVD jobbing
- Chavo vs Angle was a good match until that shitty finisher
- Zema Ion armbar looks legit
- And thank god it's bully ray, I almost went into rage mode when hogan said anderson.

1058 million viewers, I was expecting a bigger drop after RAW's 2.5

With 8 more weeks of Football ahead and the new season for the networks airing (CBS alone does 15 million 8-10 and almost 20 million people watch The Big Bang Theory between CBS/TBS) I hope TNA does something.

I don't think TNA will ever do big in the kid demo (the average age of a Spike viewer is 42 yrs old so there are probably more 49+ yr olds watching TNA then people younger then 18) so I wouldn't even mind TNA going too 10-12 when more adult males are watching TV and looking for guilty pleasure tv(Family guy re-runs on Adult swim at 11 and 11:30 does 3 million viewers nightly.)

I would try Impact friday at either 9 or 10pm. There is already a wrestling audience tuned in for Smackdown and Smackdown is much easier to go up against as there aren't huge events occuring at 9 or 10(and no overrun) which usually draws in more viewers for Raw.

Anyway, I think something needs to be done because they are getting slaughtered.

Yep. Btw, next week there will also be MLB playoffs on.

It's not just TNA that's taking a hit, Jersey Shore's premiere lost half it's usual audience (Show usually did 8 million and sometimes hit 10 million and did 4.5 million last night.) Also, a lot more people are interested in the cable news channels because of the election.

There also are other cable shows that return next week like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the League.

Edit: Rating was a .84 down from a .99 I believe from last week.

RAW also took a hit so I don't see how moving to tuesday or any other day will improve anything, that would cost them even more viewers from changing the time slot like the 9pm to 8pm move.
