Re: Worst TNA Decisions of 2012?
1. Claire Lynch: No explanation really needed.
2. Hardy winning the BFG series with no build.
3. Not cashing in on Storm when he was white hot.
4. Aries as champion: More so because they've done nothing with it. He's been too bogged down with Aces & Eights that he's done nothing as World champion. I have no problem with putting the title on him, but when you barely follow up on it, then it's meaningless.

Re: Worst TNA Decisions of 2012?
1) Letting the x-devision get into the state its in right now
2) The Claire Lynch storyline and the horrible actress
3) letting Devon go
4) the Garrett Bishoff push
5) Gut check, its a waste of TV time and the people who have been said yes to havn't made an apperiance since then
6) letting certain devision go months without a match e.g x devision, womans and TV title
7) hardy winning BFG series over bully ray
8) bully ray still isn't in the title picture is the biggest mistake
9) hogan swinging the baseball bat and hitting three guys un-consious someone with one swing
10)Aries does nothing with the world title since he's had it and concentrated more on aces and eights instead of the title closing into bound for glory
I could keep going but im getting tired so going to stop here

Does nobody understand that there was nobody for Aries to face before BFG?

Re: Worst TNA Decisions of 2012?
I agree with a lot of what has been said here so far.
1) Splitting up Magnus and Joe so quickly - although now Joe is TV champ (I've been pushing for this for ages) hopefully we'll see Joe put on some great matches while simultaneously legitimising the belt. Then they need to build the Joe/Magnus feud and I will forgive them for splitting up a great team.
2) Poor execution of the Joey Ryan storyline - brilliantly introduced and excellent, innovative use of social media. Then it just fizzled out. Yes, we marks can follow it on Twitter and in the dirt sheets but most casual viewers probably forget all about it from one month to the next. Plus, even if you follow it on Twitter, it's been a slow, slow burn.... Which brings me to....
3) Too slow, plodding storyline development - while it's nice to have storylines which are given space to breathe (the Roode/Storm feud was masterfully done and pretty much gave Roode's time as Champ its grandeur) a lot of the storylines are dragging on too much. AJ and Daniels is technically still going on as neither man really beat the other and resolved it. Aces and 8s desperately needs development (although I won't criticise this, as yet, as BFG is only a week or two away). And as has already been mentioned, Joey Ryan seems to be lingering in limbo.
4) Rushing the MCMG return and subsequent Sabin injury and Shelley release - Okay, Sabin's injury was bad luck. But they pushed a feud with Shelley and Aries, a feud which looked like it could be fantastic. It lasted one match. Then the MCMGs re-appeared and Sabin got injured. But even before his injury the MCMGs didn't appear from one week to the next, which seemed odd, given the build up.
5) Pushing Garrett fucking Bischoff - Yup, although thankfully this has been scaled down a lot in recent months.
6) Sadly, I also have to agree with Having Aries win the title mid Storm/Roode feud albeit for slightly different reasons. Roode needed to lose the title. It was getting predictable - imagine if he was still champ now, heading into BFG... How dull would those other title matches have been, knowing he would win so we could see him face Storm at BFG? Similarly, Aries is on fire so it made sense to make him champ. Unfortunately, with the BFG series going on and the Aces and 8s storyline developing, I feel Aries has had his time as champ scuppered. If he loses at BFG it will be a tragic waste of a reign that could have even eclipsed Roode's. He hasn't been given time to breathe, and it's a real, real waste.
Despite all the above though, TNA are still doing a helluva a lot right, and the show has been great for almost 12 months now. However, sadly, I'm getting the feeling that the quality of the product is currently due more to the calibre of the roster (how can you go wrong with AJ, Aries, Angle, Roode, Daniels, Bully Ray, Samoa Joe etc etc on the roster?) and the lack of stupid decisions and mad booking rather than a surplus of good decisions or inspiring booking.

Re: Worst TNA Decisions of 2012?
Also, the Claire Lynch storyline was terrible but luckily they realised it was bad and decided to camp it up, which was the best thing they could do. Throw in the talents of Kaz and Daniels and they managed to make pearls out of pig shit.
Also, not wanting to derail the thread, but they have done a few things which have improved the show immeasurably in my eyes.
1) Got rid of Bischoff as an onscreen presence.
2) Scaled back on Garrett Bischoff.
3) Got rid of Flair.
4) Now they only have two "old timers" left in the form of Sting and Hulk, the whole organisation seems younger and more dynamic. Plus, they've finally got their roles right - both are now being used perfectly IMO.
5) Got rid of Russo.
6) Letting the roster grow and experiment. I get the feeling that Aries' rapid rise, Ray and Daniels' continued magnificence, Robbie E's growth as a character, Roode's top turn as a heel etc, is all due to TNA letting the talent have fun and try new things. Aries said as much himself, in a recent interview. I think this must be true as it really seems to come across on the screen.

His name is Bully Ray! Perfect opponent for Aries. The central problem is that Aries is still champion. I like the guy, but the world title match SHOULD be Storm vs. Roode.

- Bully Ray was the perfect opponent for Aries, at sacrifice.
- Last time I checked everyone was going bananas before destination X saying "If TNA doesn't make AA champion, fuck this company! Roode vs Storm is too predictable".
- Let me be the one saying BFG isn't in orlando, you have to be a idiot not to use jeff hardy drawing power, specially if you are going into a zone you haven't been before.

BEFORE Bound For Glory. Meaning anyone NOT in the BFG Series and also not Roode.

Apart from a lot of things already mentioned, not utilizing their affiliation with AAA on television.
Criticism aside, 2012 has been a solid year for the company.
