Nice! The thing is he genuinely is though.

To the OP, practically all the other comments are spot-on. His mic work is on another level and I greatly respect him for how he's re-invented himself. I recall when he became "Bully Ray" and seriously doubted him but kudos to him; I'm extremely happy at how he's proved me wrong.

Re: Bully Ray

Rather than echo what everyone else is saying here (even though I'm in agreement) I'd like to point out that his current character isn't that far of a departure from his ill-fated WWE solo run. Things just seem to be firing on all cylinders this time around.

I love professional-wrestling.

He was a face during his singles run in WWE and got little mic time or character development.

True, my point is that this is a concept Bully has been working towards for some time now. The amped up version of himself or his Stone Cold.
Given the right circumstances I could even see the Bully working face (preferably not though).

Regardless, Hardy is still the most over wrestler in the company. Wrestling fans are interesting because sometimes a guy doesn't have to be a great wrestler or good on the mic to get over. Goldberg also was an example of this.

Well Hardy is good in the ring and has some kind of connection with the fans. I guess they just like him because he's his own guy with his own style or some shit.

Plus he's got star power from his time in WWE.

Re: Bully Ray

Bully Ray is hands down the best heel in wrestling, he doesn't need 30 minute long promo's either... he just needs to drop the elbow and yell "DAMN THAT WAS TIGHT". The guy pretty much brings back all the old school heel stuff that fans love but does it in a great, convincing way that doesn't come off as corny.
