They might get a 5 second mention on the PPV. That's plenty interesting.

That would require RVD to be highly motivated. Otherwise he's not going to care like he hasn't cared since coming in.

what would've happend if joey ryan was on impact every freakin' week? don't get all russo with me , it's not car crash tv and the two guys don't need to basicly kill each other before the ppv to build a match. i'm not saying everything is perfect but to say ryan vs snow had a bad build is an out-right lie.
An out-right lie is to say that this BfG is the best built BfG ever. It's just not true. Joe and Magnus had exactly two slightly interactions (three or four minutes combined) in over a month. The Ryan thing: I'm not sure, what kind of crowd we get in Phoenix. Arlington was stacked with smarkish men, I don't see that happen in Phoenix. The casuals barely know Ryan, he appeared for some seconds every month since May. Except for the longer segment on an episode with a horrible viewership that is it. It wasn't even made clear if he ends up with a contract in case of winning fashion. That's a bad job. Not even sepaking of RVD and Ion here.

Take 2011 for example. Midcard matches like RVD vs. Lynn, Daniels vs. AJ or Anderson vs. Bully Ray had months of solid and consequent built since Destination X and beyond that year. Hogan and Sting, even though IWC hated on this match before it even happened, had a great nearly two years build to their match. The main event with Angle and Roode was comparable to the one we have this year.

Saying that this year's build is the best ever is just fuckin wrong.

Last year's BFG was built very well and delivered well too. Apart from the Crimson match it was my favorite ppv of 2011 besides Destination X.

First, booking and hype are 2 different things. You can build a good feud without hype or the opposite.
BFG 2011 had solid booking my ass, most matches you saw were made in the last few weeks... Jerry Lynn shows up "hey I'm gonna screw you to have a match at BFG".
The only matches with long term booking was hogan vs sting, roode vs the champion of the week and daniels vs aj cause they have been feuding with each other since 2002.

Hardy vs Aries - BFG series, since june 14
Aces and Eights payoff - since slammiversary
Joey Ryan - second OFN
Roode vs Storm - more than one year in the making
Joe and Magnus have been teasing a match since their tag team days.

Good, I hope the stage is pretty simple like Slammiversary, from seeing pictures of this arena hosting similar events it could look great.

BS. They faced at Destination X in friendly fashion. Then Lynn used to continuesly watch RVD matches, until he decided to inferfere to "help" RVD. That backfired, so it cost Van Dam the BfG Series. Then the challenge was made. It had been a good build or hype or whatever.

How often did Joey Ryan show up? For how long? I'm not the only one, who had almost forgotten him. This kind of build (for most of the other matches as well) is obviously too slow to keep people watching. Just face it.
