it was a good match. good use of finishers, both guys came out looking good

agree with this, helps that the brainbuster has been really protected this year too. thought jeff was done once he hit it. I'm certainly interested in a rematch, Jeff brought it tonight and meshed well with Aries. the most ive enjoyed him in ring in tna since forever

Really? This was Joe's best performance in awhile and Magnus stepped up too imo.
|
it was fine but nothing special. Pretty much to be expected from an undercard match. If Magnus keeps improving at the level he has been though then him vs a motivated Joe could be even better with time.

|
You are right, every BFGS winner and every RR winner should go on to win the title. Heck why even have the title match since we know who will win ?
It is shit booking because there was NO HEAT on Aries as the heel because the heel turn happened on the go home show. If the heel turn occured 3-4 weeks ago they could have put good heat on Aries and built up to the switch here. Given what they did here a dirty or controversial finish in Aries favor tonight throws heat on him and builds to the switch at TP.
And no worries about the crowd in the IZ for a Hardy title win because he is always over in the IZ. They'd have popped for it.

No, Hardy should have not won BFG & whomever won it that wasn't Hardy should have won tonight.

Ziggler needs to call Hardy asap and ask him about his hair regime.

Hypocrites.

That's pretty much a given or if he didn't graduate from the Warrior School of Promos. If Hardy was still the same weirdo that still got down with the drugs, still got arrested and still got fucked up at VR BUT was a technical gawd or had mic skills, all would be forgiven....because he does them suplexes and everything he says is gold and epic.

I don't get this reasoning... since when does a tournament for number 1 contender get buried when a champion beats that contender? It's like people crying when Royal Rumble winner loses. It shouldn't be an automatic lock... that actually makes it more of a joke. MITB is the only one where not winning more would be strange given the advantage the contract gives you. This gives you NO advantage.
As to Hardy winning... again, just like at No Surrender... it's the super babyface bullshit. I'm fine with Hardy winning. I'm just tired of the "o my god the deck is stacked..... HE DID IT HE DID IT EPIC COMEBACK" shit. It's old, it's stale, and it really doesn't work anymore.

I'd give it to Aries, Roode or even Storm who was brillaint donning the crimson mask. They all were 'on' tonight. The tag match had a lot of crazy action in it too. AJ and Kaz had a couple brutal bumps in that one.

Re: Bound For Glory Discussion Thread
this whole concept of a face getting his ass kicked and making a comeback isnt just old, its ancient
it predates wrestling and is almost as old as civilisation. its the most classical story around
hell, think back to the last action or drama movie you saw, chances are it matched that style exactly. think Dark Knight rises.
its perfect, i cant believe people have a problem with that. i blame vince russo and the 90s

So people are mad because the devil won the series and everyone would be completely okay if anyone else won the BFG series and defeated Aries? Alrighty then.

It's not even a matter of marks being marks. It's a matter of the company needs to develop their own stars and not keep resorting to Jeff Hardy's when things aren't working Hardy will continue to sell merch even without the merch but this would have showed that TNA had faith in Hardy to lead them into the future. Sure, you can argue ratings for iMPACT has went down with Aries being champ but RAW ratings have went down with Punk being champion but they're not jumping the gun to put the title on Cena because they believe in Punk. I'm not even a WWE fan loathe the company but they got the right idea you can't expect to develop stars and jump the gun right back to the big name because it isn't working.
