Hardy is such a good babyface to play off. This defeat will be the making of Aries, as he goes full-blown heel.

Mayorga on facing Vargas: I'm going to give Vargas the chance to cash his last paycheck. I would like to say publicly that Fatty Vargas has always feared me. I conceded to take this fight at 162 pounds because fatty couldn't lose any more weight. I will do Vargas a favor by retiring him in this fight so his family doesn't have to suffer every time he steps in the ring. I'm going to do his wife a favor and not let her cry anymore.

Hardy has no business winning anymore World Titles but this was a business move so whatever.

I don't think the BFG series winner should win every year, but since the series is still in early developments, the winner should win the World title for the next few years to establish credibility and a belief that the winner actually has a chance to become World Champion. Then they can have guys not win the World title after winning the series and it won't hurt as much.

Fans have changed... all we want is for the product to evolve and branch out from the stale and broken system.
And what other way is to to branch out from that system? Have Hardy lose because people hate him and in the process, make a mockery out of the BFG series?

Or have Jeff squash Aries?

Aries was the star of the night IMO, unbelieveable performance.

Meh. That's a small thing to point at. The crowd helped carry the match as well.

it was a good match. good use of finishers, both guys came out looking good
agree with this, helps that the brainbuster has been really protected this year too. thought jeff was done once he hit it. I'm certainly interested in a rematch, Jeff brought it tonight and meshed well with Aries. the most ive enjoyed him in ring in tna since forever

Really? This was Joe's best performance in awhile and Magnus stepped up too imo.
it was fine but nothing special. Pretty much to be expected from an undercard match. If Magnus keeps improving at the level he has been though then him vs a motivated Joe could be even better with time.

You are right, every BFGS winner and every RR winner should go on to win the title. Heck why even have the title match since we know who will win ?

It is shit booking because there was NO HEAT on Aries as the heel because the heel turn happened on the go home show. If the heel turn occured 3-4 weeks ago they could have put good heat on Aries and built up to the switch here. Given what they did here a dirty or controversial finish in Aries favor tonight throws heat on him and builds to the switch at TP.

And no worries about the crowd in the IZ for a Hardy title win because he is always over in the IZ. They'd have popped for it.

No, Hardy should have not won BFG & whomever won it that wasn't Hardy should have won tonight.
