Re: Bound For Glory Discussion Thread

Hardy had to win to cement the BFG series. The match was way above what I was expecting. Along with Storm/Roode and the Aces and 8 reveal, it was a very good PPV.

Mayorga on BJ: Real men fight- maricons roll on ground and wrestle. Boxeo is número UNO! Tell BJ to box me- after I KO him, I will put him not in a body bag but in a condom so he can think that’s where he shud have stayed

Mayorga on facing Vargas: I'm going to give Vargas the chance to cash his last paycheck. I would like to say publicly that Fatty Vargas has always feared me. I conceded to take this fight at 162 pounds because fatty couldn't lose any more weight. I will do Vargas a favor by retiring him in this fight so his family doesn't have to suffer every time he steps in the ring. I'm going to do his wife a favor and not let her cry anymore.

Re: Bound For Glory Discussion Thread

Why people overreact everything? rvd and hardy winning are choices, a angle flopping like aces is the stuff you should be bashing.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

I think it only felt rushed because it was rushed. It was rushed only because they sort of flip flopped on ideas 4-5 weeks ago it seemed. They seemed to be building Roode/Storm as the Main Event, then decided it was big enough so they were gonna go somewhere else with. Then seemingly out of nowhere they turned Aries tweener (and it appeared he would of went full heel in another week if they had it..) and had Hardy be the face of the match.

Then the Aces and Eights stuff was generally the entire build taking away from the Championship Match. Seemed a little untraditional but considering it appeared as though the Aces and Eights were going to play a huge angle at the PPV, it didn't really matter.

Now that the PPV is here, they didn't play a huge role, so looking back it all seems more then a bit flawed.

Devon could be great, but that still doesn't mean the reveal wasn't meh (at least in my opinion). Devon was never booked or viewed as a top star, so him being the leader of a group that has has a lot of build and anticipation is a bit of a let down. Still, I somewhat agree with you that we should wait and see.

Five thumbs up from where I`m at (me included), one thumbs down (bitter over the Hardy win, so very bitter ), one vote for mediocre. For a ppv we paid for, I`d say that`s a bit of ok.

This, by the way, is the kind of shit that really irritates me...I really, really don't like Hardy...but I can't deny that he has a HUGE fanbase...he sells merchandise...because one arena boos him a bit doesn't mean that TNA isn't listening to the fans...

you are a dumbass. *sigh*

No question MotN, mind you but I fear it'll get overrated 'cause it had blood & happened in the U.S.
I'll be 100% honest when I say I don't watch any wrestling outside of WWE and TNA, so alot of us will have different ratings/opinions. I have Cena/Punk at MITB 2011 *****, but I'm sure you don't. It's probably more of a ****-**** 1/4 match then a **** 3/4 match, though. I just really, really enjoyed it on first watch

Also, Sting/Bully were fucking awesome the way they worked together in their match.

But that doesn't really matter, it's not really the point. They've been building this storyline for months now & on the biggest show they have, they reveal a henchman? That would make it even worse, if anything.

I feel like Roode/Storm should have closed the show & not had King Mo involved at all. The KO tag should have went on sooner as that BF reveal was awful. I don't mind Hardy winning the title but he should have never won the BFG series anyway. It's just in a nosedive, honestly.
