They never have them on a 1 on 1 match, not even on house shows. And in that one rumble when aj and aries had a face to face, Tazz said "this is dream match up right here", so they clearly realize people want to see this match in TNA. But they havent pulled the trigger yet on this match up, when do you think they will?

I thought they were oing to do at this years BFG, but they went with Aries vs Hardy instead. Will they have this match at next years BFG? or next years slammiversary?

I would love to see this match especially with a good amount of build toward a PPV showdown. I agree with the people saying it would be more ideal to have one of them work as a heel and that man is preferably Austin Aries since the role comes natural to him and AJ is such a tremendous babyface worker. I think the match could be one of the best matches in TNA if they decide to build it.

I could see it happening at either Slammy or BFG. Or maybe Destination X. Regardless both guys are two of the most consistent workers TNA have and I've no doubt that when they have a match in TNA it'll be awesome. Aries I think works better as a heel too even though he's had some pretty great face performances this year. I just hope they don't try and rush it onto some B PPV because I think it could spark quite a bit of interest to pit them against one another.

I know they had a match in ROH in about 2005 if anyone's interested although I haven't got round to watching it. If I recall correctly it should be in the media section.

Agree with most in that a) this is a TNA dream match and b) would like to see heel Aries vs face Styles as both are best suited to those respective roles.

This. With AJ as the XD champion after he captures shortly before to take advantage of Option C. Only once he wins thay strap he will become reluctant to cash in realizing how much it meant to him...Aries will talk him into it stating he understands the importance of that title and the prestige it holds but its time to give the fans the dream match they deserve.

It makes more sense on the B show that emphasizes the XD to try and pop the buyrate by selling the "dream match".
