Have it defended bi-monthly. Once on every PPV and once every Championship Thursday. If they want Championship Thursday to feel special and set it apart, then it would allow that show to always feature 2 title matches, the TV title and one other title match monthly. The other title match could be on rotation between the KO's, XD, Tag & World Titles. If you rotate them then each of those titles could be defended 3 times yearly on TV plus on PPV whilst the TV title would be defended 12 times a year on TV and on every PPV.

It's a TV title, defending it bi-monthly is way to long in between for a tv title. It's meant to be defended on tv. I would say no more than 2 weeks between defending the title and NEVER EVER EVER on a ppv. The tv title should only be defended on tv so everyone can see it. Not every one can get ppv's and even if they could the tv title still should not be defended on a ppv unless it's renamed. It's called TV title for a reason.

On to the topic, Samoa Joe can bring some much needed prestige to the TV Title, as long as he puts on good to great matches, and has a lengthy title reign.

So the west coast doesn't see Impact live??

WCW, ECW and ROH have never shied from defending the TV Title on PPV/iPPV. You watch PPV's on your TV (except in the case of ROH), therefore it is fitting to be defended on PPV as well as TV.
If they went with the fact that not everyone can watch a PPV, then why defend any title on PPV as normally fewer than 10k see the PPV's while a million watch the TV show. Putting that title on PPV means more reason to purchase if they can make that strap more prestigious. Also if it is only defended bi-monthly you are going to have fresher matches over that strap on both TV and PPV, which is more reason to tune in (or not switch the channel) or buy the PPV, you won't be getting stuff like Robbie vs Devon 38 times in a 6 week span.

Re: Why Samoa Joe?
It was a great decision, I can't even understand the thought process on why anybody would rather have Anderson as TV champion rather than Joe.

Re: Why Samoa Joe?
I don't mind Samoa Joe as the new TV champ especially since I fully expect him to defend the belt against Magnus at Bound for Glory anyway's, besides it's better then Garrett Bischoff (who isn't ready) and Mr. Anderson (whose boring) holding the belt.

How about this idea, have him defend the title once every month or 2, but have non title matches every week or 2? A tv champ should wrestle on Impact a lot even if it's a non title match.
Plus non title matches are a great way to build up for a title match. For example you see someone beat the champ in a non title match but loses during the title match.
What do you think of having the title only change hands at a ppv, but everything else on Impact? I don't like that idea but some might.

Re: Why Samoa Joe?
Why not? Joe's had a great year and when he presumably drops it to Magnus it gives Magnus a nice rub. Plus seeing Joe wrestle every week is a bonus.

And Anderson is?

This is just another good use of Joes run. I personally wouldn't mind if that feud wasn't overrushed and if Joe retains at first at BFG, Magnus winning without any buildup would feel empty and emotionless. However, sooner or later it should happen, I just want Magnus to be a regular Impact cast by that time, aswell as Joe putting on great matches week by week. When the time is right, and if enough effort gets put into it, I can see Joe/Magnus beeing the biggest midcard storyline in TNA, or one of the biggest at least.

Re: Why Samoa Joe?
Samoa Joe is great. I'm glad he's tv champion. If anybody can make the belt relevant, it's him.

Re: Why Samoa Joe?
I actually wanted Magnus to win the TV title simply because I think its a belt that shouldn't be held by main event guys like Joe and Andersen. It should be with a low-midcarder type of wrestler and Magnus was the perfect choice in my opinion.
