How are you disappointed with Aries? to be disappointed at someone, first you must like the guy. Based in previous comments you hate "Daniel" the man personally, even before he signed a TNA contract.

maybe i did hate him , but he did not win me over . His stuff with bully ray, joe and roode was all spots fests . he don't slow down at the right times.

he pickup joe why did he not sell his back hurting . him going over roode was just nuts .( i am a roode mark )

"fallout" for saying "Austin Aries is a bad in ring worker" thats how i see it i am a fan you can love it thats up too you.

He was miles better before he became champion character wise.

Poor booking and writing to blame. Needs to be the cocky asshole again.

Re: Am I the only one disappointed with Austin Aries?

Do you mean with him or with what TNA has done with his reign?

WWE is filled with 'Good Ol' Boys' in power positions. It is just how it is, and I will keep calling WWE, Pro Wrestling in USA, as well as some of it's fans out on this because it is bollox. I do notice an apparent effort being made to mitigate this somewhat, but time will ultimately tell.

Yeah, the poor booking played a huge role. He's such a great talent too. He needs to venture over to WWE.. but who knows.. maybe they would waste his talent too like a lot of guys these days.

no way - wwe would kill him as they do any other real talent that comes their way

his run as champion hasn't been great but assuming he has another one(although he hasn't even lost the belt yet) you know he can improve on it plus as others have said he is better as a heel but the problem is everyone just cheers for him and it just sounds dumb when heels are cheered over faces so they turned him - thanks impact zone

Re: Am I the only one disappointed with Austin Aries?

Hmmm, seems to be a lot of agreement that Aries' reign has been disappointing, even if people are disagreeing about why this is the case. Yes Roode was a tough act to follow, but I agree with those that think it's the booking that's been to blame - just too much going on for him to solidify his role as champ.

I just hope he doesn't drop the title any time soon. That would make his reign a massive missed opportunity. I believe Aries has it in him to be at least as good as Roode as champ. I just hope they give him the chance once things settle down and BFG is out of the way.

"fallout" for saying "Austin Aries is a bad in ring worker" thats how i see it i am a fan you can love it thats up too you.
Your calling those spot fests shows your level of understanding of a wrestling match. Those 3 matches told great stories in ring, and you'd be hard pressed to find more than a handful of fans who did not enjoy those matches.

You are simply grasping for straws to defend your point that Aries sucks or is a bad in ring performer, which you would be hard pressed to (again) find a more than a handful of people who agree with you on that. You are simply hating Aries moreso than perhaps you already do because creative decided to have him go over a wrestler who you mark for. Your anger is being directed in the wrong spot. Unless you are angry at the fact that Aries is in fact a great worker (and it pains you to admit it obviously) and has gotten himself over with the TNA fanbase and TNA took notice and decided to cash in on the momentum Aries built up and give him the ball to run with (considering they may realize they might have missed an opportunity with Storm).

It's one thing to not like his character or his in ring style but it's another to call him a bad in ring worker when it's plain to the naked eye that that is simply untrue. I don't like Jeff Hardy's in ring style, his moveset or his character, in fact he practically bores me to tears at this stage of his career but I recognize the fact that he is a good in ring worker.
