- Steen has talked this year about taking some time off at the end of 2012 to have knee surgery.
- Steen has no full-time/written contract with any company.
Is it possible that TNA bring in Kevin Steen in March/April or so? Could he be an epic Lethal Lockdown surprise to give Aces and 8s the win?
We know D-Lo has been playing the VP role, but that also fits Steen's body type if they want to go that way. Either way, even without that angle, Steen would be an epic addition to TNA. Matches with Joe, Storm, Angle, Roode, Aries, Styles, etc... would be awesome.
-Steen could technically stick with ROH until the Anniversary show if they want him to end his feud with Lethal as well. The 11th Anniversary show is 8 days before Lockdown. Not sure he would be done at Final Battle but it is possible.
-Aries is a friend of Steen's, and Lagana has worked with Steen before during his time in ROH, so Dave has first hand knowledge of Kevin. They could be important factors in helping bring Kevin to TNA.
Also guys like Daniels, Joe and Joey Ryan have worked with Steen in one way or another and also could help open a door.
-D'Lo being a red herring is something that shouldn't be overlooked. Not saying he is, but they definitely could be trying to set up a swerve, whether it is for Steen or someone else. One shouldn't be so quick to say D'Lo is involved with the Aces for certainty.
I have seen it mentioned that D'Lo could be the TNA exec who was letting the Aces into the building...but what if Aries was behind the Aces and aligned with Brooke like someone mentioned...Brooke and Austin could be using Bully as a pawn in this game in that case, and be the ones who were letting the Aces into the building.
And yes I know Aries arm was broken by the Aces...or what if it was not broken ? Or if he broke it to not only prove his loyalty to those he wishes to follow him, but to keep from having fingers pointed at him. He could have done it for the greater good. Let's not forget just before BFG Aries did say he was "set up to fail".
-If there was an Aries/Steen alliance, and with them leading the Aces, it opens the door for them to continue to push Aries in the World Title scene at the moment while Steen could be used in the upper card to be introduced to the fans and built up over a period before TNA would or could push him into the World Title picture.
Lethal Lockdown is one way to go with him or they could have him show up in the main event, between Aries and Hardy. As Hardy gets set on top of the cage to deliver a Swanton on Austin, Steen runs in through the crowd (masked of course) enters the cage and pulls Aries out of the way causing Hardy to miss his target. He then picks Hardy up and goes to deliver the F Cinque and as he does Hardy can simultaneously pull the mask off, then Steen pulls Aries on top for the 1-2-3...or something of the like. Have the show go off the air with Aries and Steen standing tall with them both being revealed in the final moments and Steen helping Aries win the strap and screw Hardy.
Could open the door for an immediate Steen vs Hardy summer feud beginning at Slammiversary while Aries could face Sting, Bully or even Kurt Angle for the strap at Slammy.
I don't expect Steen to be involved coming in anytime soon, but I definitely hope he is. IMO Aries/Steen leading the Aces would be a best case scenario for the Aces and 8's.
