Yes, Aries turns heel to keep the title against Hardy. Makes sense to me. Hardy won't turn heel again, that's for sure. Bully is not in the main event, so he's out for now, this pretty much leaves only Aries.
The president does not have to wrestle in the main event or even win the title at BFG.
It could be as simple as Bully turning on Team TNA to reveal himself as the president and then coming back out in the post match of the main event to flatten Aries. Gives the big reveal payoff at BFG and put additional heat on Bully, sets up Bully vs Aries for Turning Point also gives reason to purchase TP.
If TNA got fucking Edge, that would be amazingly huge BUT I highly doubt it. He is retired from wrestling by all indications and I think he would rather be open with the WWE to make special appearances and take part in DVDs & such. Plus they own his whole career, so why start up in a lesser company?
There's no way it's Edge. He'd be a fool to burn that bridge in WWE, especially considering according to him he's completely happy being out wrestling.
I've been thinking Edge all along. He won't have to wrestle as President. I remember reading a report that Edge's contract was up in June and him and Hogan are really good friends. If it's not Edge than my pick is Jarrett.
I think TNA needs to reveal the members this week on impact. We need to get going toward the buildup of BFG for the huge tag match that will happen. I dont want these guys revealed the week before BFG...
I think somebody just made it up lol Aces & Eights would be better if they had a well known wrestler leading them, the biggest names not contracted to WWE right now are Goldberg, Batista and Edge, it's just wishful thinking IMO.
According to several WWE sources, Bill Goldberg and WWE have been in talks recently and he's close to signing a Legends deal.
We don't have any other details as of this writing but there is a Goldberg DVD coming out in the summer of 2013. We'll keep you posted as we hear more.
I hate to say it, but I think it'll be Bischoff and/or Jarrett. The NWO had almost the same gimmick. The dude even rode out on a harley.
I REALLY hope that's not the case, because it's basically just immortal again except someone's been watching Sons Of Anarchy.
I just don't see how the reveal would be worth anything with guys like Gallows and Brisco (Even though they're great wrestlers, and young talents) they're just not "stars"

I think this is a pretty good storyline, Im just worried that the pay off will be anti-climatic. If it ends up being a bunch of no name jobbers, its just going to have zero impact. There needs to be a couple guys that make it pop....
^^^Unless by "hang with the best" you mean got run the fuck outta the Impact Zone as soon as there's anyhing approaching even numbers then no, they haven't proved they can hang.
You also say that who is under the mask is not the point... Maybe not from a writer's point of view, but if you think that's the case from a viewer perspective then you are in utter denial. Besides, it's the eventual star recognition of a 'reveal' in such an angle which gives such a faction it's credibility, not their endless run-ins beating guys down 4,5,6 on 1.
Q. What's the NWO without the name value of Ex-WWE main eventers?
A. A jobber invasion.
Said all along, I think this is about Bischoff's revenge and if all randoms beneath the masks, I don't think any of the A&8s guys will get over (after the initial fan dissapointment), at least until such time that any of them turns on Bisch.
Of course not, I used my time machine to confirm this.
All they need is 2 big names... put bully ray (president) + a heel EY (VP) together and your stable is already over.
at the top of my list of suspects at the moment is Brocke Hogan. A woman has never been the leader of a faction before so it could be ineresting to see what happens. But if it is Brocke then I would like to see working with a big name star to bring down her farther and the person I think would fit perfectlly would be Edge. Though he can't wrestle anymore, he would still be a big draw and could easily do all the talking for aces and Eights. After this you would need one of the top guys in TNA to also be a part of the group to challenge for the title or bring in somebody like John Morrison to challenge. But at the end of the day this is just a dream and given TNA'S history it is more then likely that the end lineup will be Bishoff and Jarrett, leading a load of washed up wrestlers that have no buissness being in the ring.
I am a huge fan of this angle, however I can't help but feel like it is destined to be a disappointment. Everyone, including me, says that the angle needs a well-booked payoff to continue the momentum of the company. Honestly, I've been going through all kinds of scenarios in my head and no matter what, someone will be upset over it. If it is an inside job, it will piss some people off. If a new guy debuts it will piss people off. If it isn't a big enough star it will piss people off. I just hope if there is initial disappointment, TNA won't scrap the idea and maybe their writing can win more the neigh-sayers over. Just my thoughts on the subject.
The Aces & 8's storyline has been very well done, the thing about these types of storylines is that one wrong move booking wise can kill the momentum of the angle so it's going to need a big climax to benefit everyone involved. As I've said before my money is on Jeff Jarrett. My main hope is that they don't milk it to the point where the storyline starts to lose momentum, consistency can only take you so far in these situations.
Edge is definitely not going to be in TNA, he's retired on to another career and he's fiercely loyal to the WWE. Him being the leader would mean he needs to be on Impact every week for at least a few months you'd think. I agree it should be an active wrestler that can wrestle Aries/the TNA Champ. If Hardy turns out to be the leader as a swerve I might actually stop watching for a while.
I'm leaning towards Joey Ryan. Just have that feeling it's him behind the group and it's his invasion of TNA for fucking him over. Plus, it'd be pretty cool if it was him and not a 'big' name like Jeff Hardy.
