I have it on very good authority that the leader of the Aces and 8's faction will be someone who has a real grudge against HH and Sting.

This person is also a keen biker and the factio Aces and 8's is being set up as a "Hells Angels" type faction.

Said person also made a comment recently to wait for some big news from him in the future!!

Re: Aces and Eights will strike again tonight BUT...

I think the aces & eights are split into two groups, one with joey ryan, brian kendrick, young bucks etc and the other which includes gallows, compton, knox etc.

I am just hoping next week when its the gut check segment hopefully the judges will be talking to sam shaw and apologising for what happened, next thing you know aces and eights come out beat the judges up and joey ryan gets tazz in the tazzmission, i would mark like crazy.

look i like Ryan i really do, but you think that 70's porn star look is a gang leader? or a leader of any kind? If Ryan ever debuts in TNA it will be in the X division and as a single wrestler, not in a stable.

Secondly, any of those guys in aces are jacked or overweight. Those are big guys which do not fill Kendrick, Gen me, or any other X division drop out.

Who would you like in Aces and 8s.

Athe conclusion of Aces and 8s the various members will be revealed.
Forget all you have heard about internet rumours about various members etc, but at the conclusion who would you like to be in this stable (not unrealistic wrestlers under contract t other companies).

My choice would be

1) Joey Ryan - Has to be in, his feud with Taz has been internet/youtube gold.
2) Scott Steiner - Internet feud with TNA/Hogan - could be legit or a work, either way Steiner in full mad mode is a joy to watch.
3) Wes Brisco - Has a good image. flimsly reason but hey.
4) John Morrison - ex WWE, would work well in TNA
5) DH Smith - Make the son of the British Bulldog into a star and reverse the WWE trend of making WCW wrestlers into bigger stars.
6) Goldberg - For ratings value.

Just rewatched Impact, it seems that after aces and 8s left
the ring following the AJ assault, a piece of black cloth
was left in the ring, which wasn't there before they attacked.
This could be the clue Storm alluded to on twitter.

Sadly, from what I could see it revealed nothing to us as viewers,
Maybe Storm will do "show and tell" next week.

I could see Storm being the leader alongside Jarrett. He could say Jarrett came to him and told him "Tna is shoving you to the side for Austin Aries, but youve been here since the beginning and there just letting him get all the attention, this is supposed to be YOUR time".

This past Impact, during the Aces and 8's promo after the Bully/Storm match, the second guy speaking was Crimson ...and I'm more than sure of it. I know faces and Crimson flexes his face is a very trademark fashion when he speaks. What I'm trying to figure out is why Crimson would join such a group. I wish I could show the promo to those who haven't seen it.

Also, I suspect that Bully Ray is also a part, if not the leader, of Aces and 8's. It's a part of his "Bully generation".

I was having a hard time figuring out who has green eyes like that and bags under his eyes. Those bags under the eyes lead me to realize it's not Anderson as some people speculated. Good observation! Definitely him. If they aren't actually throwing us off and Crimson turns out being one of the people they will later switch between, then he'll be apart of this, which makes sense to me. Besides, he has a grudge against Storm for ending his streak, which gives a legit claim as to why they're putting the shadow of a doubt over him.

Loving this Aces & Eights thing, but anyone else feel like it's getting to be too drawn out? I feel like there have to be some developments soon or people are going to start losing interest. I really thought something was going to happen at HCJ that moved the story along, but we've been months with the same teases and run-ins with no resolution. I almost feel like we're in groundhog day until BFG.

#825 ·
Yup. It's one thing having storylines like the AJ baby story dragging on.... it may annoy some people but it's only a few minutes a show, so who cares?

But they need to move the Aces storyline along, otherwise people will very quickly start getting pissed off that matches they were looking forward to are being interfered with by them. I mean, I was kind of looking forward to seeing Pope at HJ... Not too big a deal now, but if they just keep doing this week after week without moving the story forward, it's going to get very old, very quickly.

That big, fat member of the Aces n Eights at this weeks Impact, the one that was cutting the promo, he really reminded me of Abyss. The way he talked, the hand gestures. As a matter of fact I think he reminded me of the way Abyss acts when he portrays Joseph Park. The one with blonde hair is obviously Wes Brisco, they did a piss poor job of hiding his identity. That backstage promo with Kurt Angle was my first time seeing him and I already have no problem recognizing him under the bandanna. Why the hell am I supposed to believe Kurt Angle hasn't recognized him yet?

I heard that in the legend of the Dead Man's hand the mystery card was an Jack of Diamonds, and that immediately made me think it was Jarret as the leader, I hope I'm wrong. I heard D-Lo has been thrown in for the talking and to mix it up and confuse viewers trying to figure out the identities of the attackers. Don't know if that's news to anyone since I haven't gone through the whole thread. I heard speculation that Joey Ryan is involved and is the reason they attacked Gut Check.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before. So far this Aces and Eights angle has been pretty entertaining. Love TNA, right now.

This is the kind of thing the WWF got right in the late 90's. Instead of trying to buy out names it did the undesirable and started building names from the ground up or nourishing guys who got fucked over. I mean I'm not saying TNA is about to become the WWF, but this is a good direction they're taking. The current roster is TNA-Unique and quite level with each other. Ditching the likes of Flair and bringing in young, hungry guys with the money instead is good shit.

I like this stable by the way. Big fan of Sons of Anarchy, I hope they push that kind of slant on it.

Y'know, we're just assuming one TNA guy is behind this. What if it's multiple guys? By the sheer numbers Aces & 8s put out, it's hard to believe that just one current TNA guy has something to do with this. I can easily see both Joe and Bully Ray being a part of the Aces & 8s.

I'm not so sure about Know. The A&8's guy has blue eyes that don't really look like contacts to me, while Knox has darker eyes, as far as I can tell. It could be contacts, of course, but why would just one of them be wearing those?

Also, Knox is about 1,98m tall, while Gallows is about 2,01m tall. The two guys standing left and right of Wes Briscoe, however, clearly have about 10cm of difference in height.
To me, Gallows does not seem to be standing tip-toe. Does anyone know how tall Briscoe is, exatcly?
That is curious, I wonder why would they do that? But maybe, that is a part of the game???

If this guy is the leader you will all poop your pants

I know it's impossible but he's the perfect manager for this stable.

I don't think it's impossible at all? Edge has no sort of contract in place with WWE as far as I know (contract ended recently.)

I actually kind of think Edge would eventually end up in TNA.

What people don't seem to realize or take into account is that wrestlers can not just retire when they are in their 30s or 40s. I mean unless they've saved a ton of money or made good investments, they need to continue to work just like everyone else. Look at Ric Flair... what could Ric have done to make money after he retired (especially if he were still younger, as he managed to still make good money in his 40s, 50s, 60s wrestling?) To me it seems like your best option is opening your own business, but there is no gaurantee that it will succeed.

Unless your The Rock who can make movies, there is very few jobs out there for ex-wrestlers especially considering what they're use to making. Guys like Shawn Michaels has a hunting show on some channel I don't even get and Goldberg has done some commentating for MMA, but those type of gigs don't seem to last long.

A guy whose future will be very interesting is Brock Lesnar. He's 35 years old and signed a one year deal with WWE, if he doesn't re-sign what's he going to do? He could go back to UFC to lose a fight or two for some money, but other then that what is there for him? He might be able to get a couple small movie roles, but no way that guys is making a career out of it. Now luckily for Lesnar, he lives a frugle life and has made loads of money which he's saved, but Lesnar likes the attention and the competition(why he's been in wrestling, tried out for NFL, became an MMA champion) and I have a hard time seeing him leaving wrestling again once his contract expires and if he does it'd probably be a return to MMA (maybe not even UFC.)

Edge is a different case altogether. He won't become no big movie star or tv star and apparently loves the business. I think it's very possible if TNA offered him a commentator, manager, gm role that he'd take it (maybe not right away, but eventually.)

Now with all that said, I can't stand EDGE! And it's because of that that I'm certain he will end up in TNA within the next five years. I'm also scared of guys like Kane/Big Show/Jericho showing up in TNA. When WWE no longer has a use for a guy, it's not like he can just stop wrestling. It's their livelihood. Is Big Show going to just become a bouncer or a security guard?

Anyway, I don't think Edge will be revealed as apart of Aces and 8s, but I wouldn't rule out seeing him down the road.

Unless the leader of Aces and Eights turns out to be Goldberg, I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to be disappointed & that the big reveal is going to come off as really lackluster. If it's Bubba Ray & then a bunch of jobbers, no one is going to care. Sad but true.

I can't believe that we are in 2012 and people are still asking for Scott Steiner.

I don't understand why poeple keep harping on about the fact that A&8s might be a bunch of no-name wrestlers and ex-WWE jobbers. It doesn't make a difference who is under those masks. That was never the point. As A&8s said themselves, "Before we put on the masks we were nobodies". This should tell people that it wasn't about using big name stars when you can just debut them anytime you like.

This was about a group of wrestlers who feel like they haven't been given a fair chance to show the world their talents. They feel that they haven't been given the opportunities they feel they deserve and now they are there to take it whether people like it or not.

At this moment, the leader is an after-thought. With the right explanation the leader could be anybody, but I feel the point of this angle was to create new stars. When they finally unmask, people will take them seriously as they have already proved that they can hang with the best.
