You should probably re-watch the PPV on DVD: 'Bash at the Beach 1996 - The Day That No Monumental Thing Happened!'

No the guy is right, Hogan came in and leg dropped Savage for the win with the outsiders. You can watch it on youtube.
I'm thinking now that it's Joe and the ninja posse. The talker looks like Joe and seems heavier than the rest.

New talent with a mysterious leader and "insiders" in TNA.
-> bradley and shaun ricker did dark matches for impact.
I don't know their contract obliglations with NWA and Resistance Pro but I believe if TNA wanted both of them, they could be on the roster...
so dixie and prichard, get these guys.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
This is the kind of thing the WWF got right in the late 90's. Instead of trying to buy out names it did the undesirable and started building names from the ground up or nourishing guys who got fucked over. I mean I'm not saying TNA is about to become the WWF, but this is a good direction they're taking. The current roster is TNA-Unique and quite level with each other. Ditching the likes of Flair and bringing in young, hungry guys with the money instead is good shit.
I like this stable by the way. Big fan of Sons of Anarchy, I hope they push that kind of slant on it.

Its very clever to capitalise on such a successful film like the dark knight rises, so chucking a few bane quotes in there wont hurt at all, very cool indeed.

I groan everytime they appear, it's too deux ex machina for me, it feels like a half-assed idea they have no plan with, just randomly attack people until they figure out where to take the story. A lot like the AJ storyline that morphed to include Dixie, then Clare. I really hope i'm wrong, and they pull off a satisfactory ending and payoff. Aces and Eights offer me virtually no excitement whatsoever, a modicum of tension, not much else. Sorry.

I think i was being too negative earlier. They are clearly doing a great job to make an interesting story regardless of what i feel about it, i'm happy for this, just a bit worried it will go wrong and not live up to expectations. I set mine pretty low and they remain that way right now, lol, ninjas, it probably means i've enjoyed it less though i feel. People had predicted there could be an attack on Sting at the HOF, it felt like it was coming, there was no suprise there, ever since the only thing that interests me is how they get away with what they are doing. It feels like they are burying themselves in the process as well, as they are made to look like fools, despite being a roster full of wrestlers who are supposed to be running a company. See, i can't comment without complaining so, anyway, good luck TNA. I'm keeping low expects, hoping for best.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
I don't want to see this angle end anytime soon.
No matter what the writing, the payoff won't be as great because TNA can't sign a huge talent.
As is, the best TNA could do is sign Goldberg or John Morrison and neither are happening.
Now as an A&8's member, I like the look of Wes Brisco. He looks like he can be an Xpac or Brian Pillman sort of member to the group. As for Luke Gallows or Mike Knox, the only thing appealing about them is that they are bigger then the rest of the roster.
Now on here especially, people like Jay Bradley, but to my knowledge he's only been involved in one attack and that was the first(I really want to know who the other two guys were because they weren't Wes, Gallows or Knox.)
For me, the only way to really capitalize on this angle is to continue to add on. With Knox/Gallows you have two guys who are only challenged in size by Abyss, now that Morgan's gone. In wrestling, size does matter and I like the idea that A&8s have big guys (especially if it's an invasion angle.) If you add up Gallows & Knox(6'6-6'7), and add guys like Jay Bradley(6'5), Chris Master's (6'4) then you have 4 guys who are bigger then the rest of the roster sans Abyss and Rob Terry. Now Wes Brisco might not be tall (6'0 range) but he's got the most jacked arms of the bunch and could come off as the most unstable member of the bunch.
Anyway, the point is, I don't just want Knox, Gallows, Brisco, and ultimately Jarrett to end up being the aces and eights.
I actually would like it if Jarrett returned with a different group (AAA/world wide wrestlers) and A&8's attacked them or they showed no allegiance and it kept ppl guessing with what A8s motive was.
I rather see it revealed that Gallows, Knox, Brisco, Masters, Cliff Compton, Jay Bradley, Teddy Hart, etc turn up being aces and 8s. Something like Eric Bischoff compiled a group to oppose all of TNA. This would kind of be like the exact opposite of TNA and mainevent mafia. This strategy would take unknowns who tried to take over TNA and you'd have TNA originals fight back for it, in turn getting them over. (With huge men like Knox, Masters, gallows, bradley and along with their affiliation, you could really legitimize TNA originals that need that sort of push.)
