Most of them have no idea how to work US style. Who wants 8 Sin Cara's on the roster?
Kendrick, Red and the Young Bucks beating up Sting and Hogan is quite funny though. Imagine the skits they could do with the four of them on each others shoulders trying to punch Hogan.
Bare in mind, TNA are cutting costs at moment to fund a longer run of live episodes of Impact. This Aces and Eights group will be a bunch of guys they can pay $500 per appearance for. The likes of Brisco, Knox, Masters and Gallows, and probably guys already under contract.

AAA stars are a little bit better at working the US style then Cunsejo Mundial De Lucha Libre talent. Granted, Volador, Jr. Averno, Ultimo Guerrero and Rey Bucanero did fine in TNA way better then Mistico has in WWE.

While CMLL is more traditional Lucha Libre, compared to AAA which is more towards the WWE/TNA style, the Luchadores leap from AAA to CMLL and back regularly over their career, so i dont think it matters much wether they are from AAA or CMLL. I think its more an individual thing, some Luchadores adapt more easily than others, and some others will never adapt no matter how hard they try.

Couldn't just say CMLL? Had to go look it up on Google to try to impress people?

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
CMLL is very old school lucha libre, AAA has more variety in characters which is something TNA can use.
But rush and volador jr. are still very young and could be big stars in america...

Probably not, since it's Consejo. I know Spanish at a certain level and I notice mistakes in such words.

Instead they can just throw in some unknown guy with a similar look/size, and then nobody really knows.
This whole thing could go a lot of different ways.

exactly
Anyway, if TNA want this angle to succeed, the aces and eights stable has to be made up of people who the audience would actually care about. If it is a group of former jobbers nobody would give a s.hit
They need at least 3 big names in this group. I say that the 3 should be:
Batista
Jeff Jarrett
John Morrison
*They could also throw in the leader of this group, who should be a member of the current TNA roster. My thoughts are on either Storm or Roode to be the leader of this group.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
FFS, stop the CMLL and AAA talk.
This group has not been built up as luche libre's. It's going to be mainly made up of American wrestlers who have wrestled in WWE and TNA in the past.

Actually it seems the gimmick is being used to get over younger and misused talent like Masters, Gallows, Compton, maybe Ryan, any young indy guy, ect. Guys you would consider jobbers. With JJ as the mouthpiece.
I mean, does anyone care about Batista in 2012 or some guy doing a Jim Morrison gimmick? Just because they were once on WWE tv? No one really cares about Chavo, despite the hype, and he'll have to get over by wrestling.
Just adding WWE names got TNA nowhere. They are going to have to create their own stars which they have been doing. And this Ace and 8s angle seems to be part of that.
