1. The angle started in June and only kicked out in July
2. This angle is ALL ABOUT SURPRISES! What the fuck do you think they have the masks are for? This is their way of stretching the story and keeping interests alive.
3. And since you know everything about what they should and shouldn't do, and you pretty said that nothing in TNA makes sense to you, what swerves do you want to rush oh wise and whiny one?

And that other guy was right. You're expected way too much than TNA can handle.

Why the hell did Taz join??? Just for kicks? And also they need to reveal some real players in this group cause I've been losing interest....

Gallows is really the only guy who looked bad ass and they ruined him by having Sting beat him already

@ people calling criticism of this "impatience". The fuck, the angle started in June and the first reveal was in October? We still don't know the leader. TNA doesn't know where this is going as much as we do.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread

I think it was well done if they have a plan for it.

1. A&E were completely absent the entire show, lulling everyone into a false sense of security, thus making Tazz's outburst less predictable.

2. No one saw this coming (Because he's not on the active roster it was more of a swerve). People were laughing expecting Tazz to do a silly strip tease, but then they got a decent pop from the fans when they saw the vest.

3. Again, this is all planned. What doesn't make sense now, will [hopefully] make sense down the road.

The problem with the current generation of fans is instant gratification. They want everything yesterday. They would have hated old school wrestling where feuds were built for months/years before being cashed-in.

Again, TNA needs to draw weekly ratings. Big instant gratification reveals (Like Hogan, Flair, Hardy, etc.) all failed for TNA in the past (Barely any noticeable spikes in viewership). They need to build something they can ride. This, so far, has been giving them decent ratings.

Bingo. That's what a lot of wrestling fans forget because they have been conditioned to these short programs since the 90's.

Are you fucking serious? Instant gratification? I hated Russo because all he did was throw too much shit at the wall and never let anything settle. This has nothing to do with impatience. This has everything to do with seven months passing by with the angle still in act 1 and only 4 reveals to show for it. Also, if the current generation of fans want something, then you fucking give it too them. Also, Immortal drew better ratings than this angle currently is. Most of their rating numbers are under 1.0. It's fucking failing. Jesus fuck, this goddamn section.

Russo is a poor example for the exact reason you stated. He stuck too many irons in the fire, with no plan on what to do with each one. It was like the end of LOST where all these stories were getting brought up but never completed.

This storyline is no different than what WWE is doing with The Rock. They've been riding out that angle (his return) for 2 years now, and only 3 matches and a handful of appearances along the way. I don't see many people complaining about that storyline going too slowly.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread

The Rock's angle isn't a weekly story.

Also, Russo is a perfect example because of his crash tv style of booking. He even defended his booking in shoots saying that the audience's attention span is shorted due to technology and that's why he books the way he does.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread

I'm saying A&8s is nothing like Russo's storylines. If Russo was behind this, we would have had everyone unmasked at one PPV. And the leader would have been Hogan, Bischoff, and probably Russo himself.

Right now 50% of the stable has been revealed. Yes, perhaps they are underwhelming, but the angle is still developing. It's not like Tazz was the FINAL reveal and we can look back at this in hindsight and say "Yep, this failed miserably".
