Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
group will be too big with 10. but with standard of the wrestlers seemingly being used if we think of an army you have privates, sargents, luitentants then general
so if we have a couple of jobbers as fodder for beat down - 4 members not a problem with this with the way TNA is currently set up as i wouldnt want to see hogan putting a beat down on someone remotely credible.
3 sargents - devon, gallows, parks
thats leaves 2 leitenants to get a push hopefully someone young who can benefit the product.
and then the main ring leader - hopefully someone big. to carry the story.
I wouldnt have a problem with this as long as there are actual people above gallows and devon as the story will be a waste.

TNA sucks at the moment. But they still have Kurt Angle. Aries and Hardy will still tear it up. Bobby Roode is still great and AJ Styles will be put out amazing matches. That will do for me. I will put up with this Aces and 8s crap if it means watching these guys.

Unfortunately, if you really want the product to improve, you can not do that. The viewership is the only metric they care about. By steadfastly watching it, no matter what, you give them zero reason to change.

If someone didn't like a storyline on Dallas, that doesn't mean they stopped watching back in the day. If you are emotionally invested in other portions of the show, you will put up with the terrible stuff.
The fact you are bashing me because I am passionate about a show I continue to watch, yet am not into at the minute says far more about you than it does me.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
Luke Gallows is an ex-WWE midcarder, a nobody, a freaking jobber.
So was D'Angelo Dinero, and in one year the guy main freaking evented Lockdown. Austin Aries was a nobody to casuals when he came over from RoH, one year later he was a somebody in TNA. Desmond Wolfe ? Another nobody who came in and started in the upper card..and would have been a somebody had Hogan and Bischoff realized they had a star in the making right under their noses.
Nexus were a bunch of nobodies as well. And Wade Barrett became a somebody in a rather short time span. Sheamus ? Another nobody brought in (or up) and pushed into a somebody rather quickly.
So TNA isn't going the conventional way with Aces and 8's...what does it matter ? Wrestling has proven NOBODIES can come in and become somebodies rather quickly with good and smart booking. A bunch of IWC nobodies seemingly don't want to take the wait and see approach to essentially wait and see how this further plays out and if TNA can turn some or all of these nobodies into somebodies. Sucks to be them I guess.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
You don't put nobodies under masks and reveal them after months on end. That's the point people are making. You can debut nobodies and establish their character. You should never establish someone and them take their mask off to reveal someone who either nobody knows or nobody cares about. Especially someone like Gallows who could be a great asset to the roster. This does him no favours. If he debuts without a mask people go "hey its Luke Gallows. I remember him.". If he debuts under a mask people go "urrr its Luke Gallows. I was expecting someone better".

So quick to jump on them...yes you are.
Is he going to be patched in ? Just last week they said NOT to lose their masks or it could cost them their cuts....perhaps he loses his cut and ends up fighting for the good guys. Or perhaps it is a setup and he joins the good guys as another snake in the grass. Then there is the possibility he gets patched in regardless as he prevented Devon from being put through a table and put Park through it, so it could be his reward.
Either way, you are assuming the majority reaction is going to be the same as yours was. That doesn't make it true.

This is the right way to look at it, keep open-minded before slating it too much. Anything could happen.

You are assuming the majority will care either way. Which they probably won't because its only Luke Gallows. If he had any value they'd have signed him when WWE first released him and if he had any mainstream value WWE wouldn't have released him. And to be fair to TNA, this isn't supposed to make you care. They'll all probably be unveiled in the coming weeks, leading to a big reveal. Its the person behind it who will make or break this angle.

Who the heck are you to think you speak for the majority of any group. You don't. Did you seriously say WWE wouldn't let someone go if they had mainstream value???? WWE are known for letting the wrong people go.
