IF he is the leader then I have to scratch my head.
IDK maybe he did that to try and get over and then TNA had to do the tweet to make sure people knew he wasn't the leader

I actually thought Devon being unmasked was a very good choice. No one saw it coming and he is just one piece of the puzzle that has been revealed.

Someone posted that clip of Angle talking to Wes Brisco a few pages back and what Garrett/Devon/Brisco say tells me they are all in Aces & 8s. Brisco's pony tail also appears to be a complete giveaway.

Of course Garrett being Devon's sidekick will make him an obvious choice and he'll probably be revealed in the next couple of weeks. TNA will need to continue to swerve this though because we've now got 5-6 individuals who we now know are part of the stable.

Could any of the knockouts be in Aces & 8s? Mickie James or Sarah Stock for example? With high heels hidden under baggy jeans they could get one of them up to 5" 9"/5" 10"ish and I can just imagine them revealing a member one week, everyone expecting it to be a bloke only for the classic throw where it turns out to be a woman.

1) It confused everyone. Devon being revealed wasn't supposed to strike a "OH MY GOD IT'S BIG BAD DEVON" reaction, it was designed to confuse and it did just that.

2) It's just one piece of the puzzle that's been revealed. It opens the possibility that ANYONE on the current roster could be in Aces & 8s and they aren't just a bunch of outsiders coming into the company.

And the Devon reveal was a cluster**** on many levels.

1) Even TNA, Devon and the twitter account of Aces and 8s are confused over something as simple as whether Devon is the leader of Aces and 8s or an prospect.

2) Devon coming out the stupid statement after the match that "He was behind Aces and 8s all along".
What Devon actually said "It was me all along" which is still somewhat ambigious. I do agree with you on this, i hope this was a slip of the tongue and he aint implying he's the leader. Devon being just one minor member works, if he turns out to be the leader of the whole group it will be one of the biggest anti climaxes/worst plot endings in TNA's history

Even when you consider that Devon was an face who turned, the majority of the fans in TNA and worldwide have no emotional attachment to the Devon character so his turn had zero effect.
Disagree, in the last 18 months he's always got a good reception from the crowd as a face.

That is why the Hogan turn, when he joined the NWO worked and why this Devon turn will have no effect.
But Devon being revealed wasn't done to shock, it was done to confuse. It was pulling a "WTF is going on?" reaction, not an OMG reaction.

I'm almost certain this isn't (and it better not be) the climax. Storm possibly may have worked, Styles simply wouldn't make sense as he's a TNA grown superstar and a Sting heel turn simply wouldn't work because he's too much of a legend. TNA could turn him into the biggest baddest heel and the crowd would still cheer him constantly.

I really hope not. There's no need for any KOs in the stable.

Storm is the only face out of those 3 who could have pulled it off.

I agree that Styles and Sting don't work here but Storm does. James Storm beating Roode earlier in the evening and getting that face pop only to be unmasked by Hogan later in the show and essentially turning heel would have definitely been a shocker that no one would have seen coming.

I'm hoping that the end result sees Bobby Roode or James Storm as the president of the Aces and 8's.

People are still convinced that Devon is the leader? Fucks sake even JB clarified that he isn't the leader.

On tonight's Impact, Devon is wearing a vest with a patch that says "SGT AT ARMS" on it

At this point, all I really want from these guys is for them to stop swarming the ring so there can be yet another locker room emptying TNA riot. Look, the whole biker deal is fine, them invading because they feel overlooked/unappreciated/unwanted/whatever is fine. What`s not fine is stagnation. They need to start doing something else now.

Nice theme though.
