100% agree. Two reasons:

1) Sting's 'Bound For Glory memories' promo on Impact this week, referring to how the only thing you know with the Stinger is you never know what's next.

2) Only Sting and Hogan knew Anderson was gona be the tag partner prior to him being attacked. Hogan heel turn has been done...

Hopefully Bully Ray will get a good face run out of this, leading to taking the strap...

That makes zero sense. The whole point of that was that they were waiting at the entrance for Hogan and Sting's partner. It could have been Eric Young walking out and they'd have taken him out. As soon as Hogan announced Anderson they attacked him while he was in the Gorilla position.

Also Sting has turned more times in TNA than Hogan has. If you say "Hogan's heel turn has already been done", then so is Stings. You dont turn legends. It never works in TNA. People like Hogan and Sting. Seeing them doing a lame heel act when that isn't what they are famous for is pointless. People watch them for nostalgia. Seeing a 53 year old Sting dressing up like a biker would be horrendous.

Sting has only turned heel once and it wasn't even a true turn. He was trying to steer Hogan and Bischoff away before they revealed their intentions.

Anyway, I do agree with you that neither Hogan nor Sting should turn. That would be ridiculous.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread

As much as I've enjoyed the insanity of this aces&8s business even I, the lover of all things fully batshit crazy in wrestling, am getting a little weary with it. The world's geekiest biker gang is not doing anything interesting. Their supposedly evil deeds and nasty biker crimes don't even register with me any more. They're just a bunch of guys who like playing with a voice-altering mask while they hang out in a cramped closet/clubhouse with a camera crew.

Time to either give them something fresh to work with or wrap this thing up.

He was heel twice in TNA. The main-event mafia run. Although in theory he was a face.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread

After almost 180 pages of discussion people are still talking about who is who.
I'm hoping for a nice conclusion at BFG, give me something that makes sense and please stay the fuck away from russo swerve bs.

Bully Ray and Sting with hogan vs Wes Brisco and Parks/Abyss with ???.
In the end ray turns, A&8's give the stinger the beating of his life and the leader is revealed.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

The C.M. Punk interview at 10 p.m. lost 280,000 viewers to a 3.0. Thatís almost unheard of to be losing viewers at the top of the hour.

In theory he was a face, just as he was during his most recent turn. To be fair, I didn't watch during the MEM era so I don't know all the details surrounding that storyline and Frontline, etc.

Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread

In theory nothing. He was on the heel side for most of it. Its not the audience fault TNA couldn't position him as a heel. Was Kane a face during 97 and 98, because we eventually found out that Undertaker actually did burn the funeral home down? Its all about what the audience see at home. They didn't know Sting turning heel was a means to an end. They just saw him beating babyfaces up with baseball bats. And the casual viewer who doesn't know every last detail on TNA storylines has seen Sting position in the heel camp several times over the years. Turning Sting is pointless.

Also why would Sting allow them to beat the shit out of him? And if Sting has such a huge master plan, why did he give up his General Manager position? If he wanted to bring in a lot of guys he could have done it then. Sting turning makes 0.1% sense.
