So I'm the only one seing it like this?: Jarrett is the leader of the group but he wants Storm to join them which is the reason why they're not attacking him.
Yup. This entire storyline is just to put Hogan and Sting over at the end. Same with Immortal. Have them bury the roster and dominate the storyline the entire year and put over the oldies. Same as usual.
2. Roode is the leader and is plotting this whole thing against Storm (as a build to their BFG match). First he gets himself attacked because everyone was certain it was Roode and paints himself innocent with one attack. Then he comes out tells everyone its Storm and this week the Aces and 8's have nothing to do with Storm.
Storm is definately a Red Herring, I'm leaning towards those that are thinking that whoever is the leader of A&8's either wants Storm as part of the group, or trying to cause dissension in the ranks. Either way this is some good shit
Also, a couple of people got scalded last night, like Sonjay Dutt for example. I can see people like this becoming members eventually if he keeps getting knocked back. The segments with AA in his "office" had to have had some meaning to them IMO.
Just throwing this out there, not claiming to know the answers.
Follow the prey (Angle has been attacked repeatedly) not the leader (or who they want you to think the leader might be, as in Storm). If Angle/Sting/HH are the primary targets, I'm leaning towards JJ being the Aces and Eights mastermind.
"As previously reported, Luke Gallows and Wes Brisco have been among those working underneath the masks as members of Aces and Eights on iMPACT!.
More members may well be announced, including Chris Masters, Mike Knox and Jay Bradley. Jeff Jarrett is rumored to be the group’s planned leader, which will be revealed at some point."
my only problem with this storyline right now is that TNA should not expose the group this much. They should slow down the pace.
The group isn't even established and they are already signing babyfaces to take them down.

Just watched the Tna show back from last night. Aces & 8s your getting a little sloppy. You left a clue behind, and I FOUND IT. #SAYDL
Jarrett is the red herring for the IWC because it plays into something he's always done and he's been off TV for a while.
Storm is the red herring for Impact because he fits the look of Aces-8s and has yet to be attacked by them.
Coincidentally Jeff Jarrett is the one who got Storm hired by TNA. Storm has been in TNA since Day 1. Storm and Jarrett have always been aligned whether it's Planet Jarrett or the Immortal-Fortune faction. They've never had a one-on-one match against each other in TNA. I could be looking too far into it, but it's a brilliant double-red herring.
I would be fine with Storm being behind the group if the idea is they are going to execute a double turn for Storm and Roode. Would be a nice twist to their whole storyline.
Just rewatched Impact, it seems that after aces and 8s left
the ring following the AJ assault, a piece of black cloth
was left in the ring, which wasn't there before they attacked.
This could be the clue Storm alluded to on twitter.
Sadly, from what I could see it revealed nothing to us as viewers,
Maybe Storm will do "show and tell" next week.
You're giving the writers too much credit. I doubt that they would be clever enough to tie those storylines together.
