Probably just before or at BFG.

I believe I may have solved the mystery. Bobby Roode, the leader of the selfish generation and the IT factor of professional wrestling, is the President of The Aces and 8's.

-1st attack was on Sting the Thursday following Slammiversary. Slammiversary ended with Roode getting SDD'd off the stage...and Sting had been a thorn in Roode's side during his title run.

-2nd attack was on Hogan the Thursday following DX. Hogan granted Aries the title shot and made Option C a reality. Hogan also never gave Roode the respect he believed he deserved. Why was Brooke was served the Dead Man's Hand ? No better way to get back at Hogan for costing Roode what was most precious to him than going after what's most precious to Hogan, his family.

-There were attacks on the BFGS participants. Why ? Because Roode believed Aries win was a fluke and he would regain his title with his rematch clause, and the winner of the series would have to face Roode at BFG. Roode had himself attacked to throw everyone off and eliminate him as a suspect in the eyes of the locker room. All the while, he was pointing fingers at Storm and getting the eyes of the locker room to look in Storm's direction (a diversion, which is a game the Aces continuously play to get their job done).

-On the 8/16 Impact Roode blamed Aries. Sting challenged the Aces to fight on OFN, the Aces accepted. On 8/23 at OFN, they Aces created a diversion by sending in the cavalry, then the core group came out to attempt to break Aries arm. They also quit following everyone but Aries. He now became the focal point of the attacks. Why ? Because so long as Aries is champion Roode cannot get another rematch with him. This past week, they again created a diversion so that they could once more attempt to take out Aries.

Now everyone seems to be expecting Roode to cost Storm the series...and he may, but perhaps he does not. Bobby if my theory is correct, is attempting to take out the Champ, but is that to :

a-weaken the Champ going into BFG to increase the odds of him losing

or

b-take him out of the main event of BFG (and perhaps grab his spot or assure we get a new champion at BFG)

As for D'Lo, he could be in the group. Or he could simply be a stand in for Eric Young. Using a bigger bodied guy certainly throws us off of connecting Eric, and if Eric played that role right now he might be quite recognizable. Roode and Young have a history, and Eric returned in a suit which was the same look as Bobby Roode. Eric has been gone for some time, and ODB (who would make a perfect bikers old lady) has been opening doors for people (is that knowingly or unknowningly ?).

To me it seemed like he had it on and it fell off, without him recognizing that it did. Then last minute he tied it on, sort of half assed, and then hit Aries.

So I don't think we were suppose to see his face.
Taz acknowledged it though, so maybe it was supposed to be that way. Again, I don't think it's a big deal who the lower-tier prospects are. They've already implied that the A8's are a large group.

The VP has the build of Samoa Joe, except a lot bigger. They could always just say they had another prospect posing as Joe while he was there.

I wish that was the case because joe is more out of shape then dlo brown but he's getting his swagger back.

Personally I'm really enjoying this angle...makes me wish Impact could get 2 shows to keep the momentum of storylines going well (I know we have Xplosion, but you know what I mean)

My two cents though on 1. Potential leaders and 2. Possible members:

Leaders

Jeff Jarrett

This is a fairly obvious one...Jarrett started TNA with Jerry and had to bring in extra finance to grow the business. Ever since his feud with Sting a few years back (cancer of TNA angle) he's been relegated to occasional feuds and cameo appearances. First, we saw him "fired" following the Angle feud...and he's been affiliated with a few of the rumoured members over in India. Then, Sting gains the inaugural spot in the HoF...kayfabe slap in the face to a man who carried the business for 5 years. I'd quite like to see Jarrett take a leading role again...he gets a lot of negative press but he's got passion and Charisma...something sadly lacking in a lot of "new" talent.

Joseph Park

We've seen Joseph Park for some time now on our screens and an interesting storyline with Bully Ray has taken a back seat since Aces showed up. I remember him saying before that he was looking for clients to represent in the TNA and for the past few weeks was seen running around tring to "recruit" new clients...perhaps it's his way to get his new client base noticed with his "brother" at the helm? Would be a nice twist if it was him and Bully running the angle...

Eric Bischoff

Fired, disrespected, had his name revoked and left in shame...that can't be the end of the career of one of the most iconic voices of the past 2 decades? He's been quite vocal on twitter too and this would be a good storyline to get him back in via the back door. Hold the company to ransom until they reinstate him and give him some control

Bully Ray

All the pieces were falling into place for this one til this week...seemed he was most vocal about aces n eights and benefitted most out of the run ins...also has a serious chance of winning BFG...so an injured aries would be no bad thing

Roode

Fave option. Pissed at losing his title. Fuming at hogan and Sting...practically dominated the company for a year and then out of the limelight...no title, no title shot, no place in BFG...best way back would be to remove the title from Aries using other up and coming stars forgotten by the wrestling elite...also smells like something a certain HHH would do, which is what Roode is evolving into

Ric Flair

Just saying...seen him lately? Went on gut check, then disappeared and bam aces n rights show up...

As for members, the obvious ones so far are Briscoe, Gallows, Dlo...but other options could be:

Crimson

Not been seen since he dropped his unbeaten streak...mad at Hogan and mad at Storm

Abyss

Looks like the bigger chap and would work as he's been away for so long...maybe he's made friends with Bully again?

Bully Ray

I know I mooted him as leader but I've noticed him come out a number of times now about 30 seconds after one of the big guys has gone off screen...

CHRIS Masters

Well documented that he wants a shot in TNA...would work on a number of levels

Joey Ryan

Obvious...peeved at gut check...fits the attitude...popular with fans....must be involved

Chavo

Not too much of a leap to consider....made his debut when aces were getting started and would catapult him to centre stage

Matt Morgan

I know unsigned "officially" but would be a good choice following management dropping the ball with his career a bit

Personally, I'd like to see a triumvirate of Jeff Jarrett, Bobby Roode and Joseph Parks as the Eric Bischoff of the group...with 5 patched in members and a number of prospects vying for a shot...a good number of which get beaten down and turn face...wrestling is missing good storylines at the moment and this could be excellent if they keep going in the right direction with it...not been a good stable angle since MEM or Evolution

Other mentions I forgot were Brian Knox and Eric Young...

Also before anyone says, I know Flair was "fired" but there have been similar works before...

A good theory, but if you count the ace as the thirteenth card, then the eight will be the seventh card, which would mean someone with the initials GG...

It might be buried somewhere in here, but I haven't seen anyone mention Sting as a possibility.

Sure, he was the first attacked. What better way to keep people thinking it isn't you than to take a beating right up front? I can't think of any real motivation why it WOULD be Sting but goddamn who would see THAT coming?
