Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread
What I kind of wanted to see from the beginning was A&8s to attack Jeff Jarrett in Mexico, since from the beginning everyone figured it was him.
I don't want A&8s to make the same mistakes as Immortal. I'm a huge fan of E Bischoff, but I no longer want to see him in charge of stables as it always seems like nWo and his time as an on-screen character like that seems to have run it's course(he's the devil we already know.) Same could be said for Jarrett. Personally, I'd like to see Bischoff back at the commentating booth, but I think he's too busy for that.
As for Immortal, you put all the TNA originals(Fourtune,Abyss) in the group to be boo'd and mixed them with Flair, Hogan, Hardy... I want the A&8s to consist of nothing but outsiders. So far guys like Brisco, Gallows, Knox fit the bill.
As for the guy who I would use as the leader/authority figure... I would use Bruce Prichard(health permitting.) Ever since he joined TNA, I've thought about him doing a takeover. We already know he's got power in the company, it'd make sense for him to sign these new guys and try and use them to takeover the company.
Another reason Prichard makes sense is because he's also an outsider and being an ex-WWE official, he has ties to guys like Gallows/Brisco etc and other WWE future endeavors. If these guys were to link up w/ Jarrett/Bischoff, where did they find them, the side of the road?? Ring Ka King only really works with Gallows(and Masters if he acutally signs but that's it.)
Gallows, Knox, Brisco... Masters, Compton, Bradley, Teddy Hart(this all depends on how AAA guys are used and if they actually ever show up)... you really can add a lot of names when considering Bruce was an official with WWE for so long and most if not all of these guys were at one time signed with WWE.
The reason I want the group to be big is because I want it to be seen as a serious threat. Also, there needs to be enough guys to match up with the big guns in TNA(and so far the group lacks starpower), but that's just one scenario. It all really depends on how big TNA wants to go with this.
But basically, I rather Prichard be the leader then JJ/Bischoff. Though if JJ is leader and adds AAA talent to A&8s, that'd be nice as well. AAA talent though joining A&8s and attacking JJ makes sense as JJ has been down in Mexico trying to takeover AAA all this time lol.
