No matter what the writing, the payoff won't be as great because TNA can't sign a huge talent.

As is, the best TNA could do is sign Goldberg or John Morrison and neither are happening.

Now as an A&8's member, I like the look of Wes Brisco. He looks like he can be an Xpac or Brian Pillman sort of member to the group. As for Luke Gallows or Mike Knox, the only thing appealing about them is that they are bigger then the rest of the roster.

Now on here especially, people like Jay Bradley, but to my knowledge he's only been involved in one attack and that was the first(I really want to know who the other two guys were because they weren't Wes, Gallows or Knox.)

For me, the only way to really capitalize on this angle is to continue to add on. With Knox/Gallows you have two guys who are only challenged in size by Abyss, now that Morgan's gone. In wrestling, size does matter and I like the idea that A&8s have big guys (especially if it's an invasion angle.) If you add up Gallows & Knox(6'6-6'7), and add guys like Jay Bradley(6'5), Chris Master's (6'4) then you have 4 guys who are bigger then the rest of the roster sans Abyss and Rob Terry. Now Wes Brisco might not be tall (6'0 range) but he's got the most jacked arms of the bunch and could come off as the most unstable member of the bunch.

Anyway, the point is, I don't just want Knox, Gallows, Brisco, and ultimately Jarrett to end up being the aces and eights.
I actually would like it if Jarrett returned with a different group (AAA/world wide wrestlers) and A&8's attacked them or they showed no allegiance and it kept ppl guessing with what A8s motive was.

I rather see it revealed that Gallows, Knox, Brisco, Masters, Cliff Compton, Jay Bradley, Teddy Hart, etc turn up being aces and 8s. Something like Eric Bischoff compiled a group to oppose all of TNA. This would kind of be like the exact opposite of TNA and mainevent mafia. This strategy would take unknowns who tried to take over TNA and you'd have TNA originals fight back for it, in turn getting them over. (With huge men like Knox, Masters, gallows, bradley and along with their affiliation, you could really legitimize TNA originals that need that sort of push.)
Could be used to great effect on house shows, OVW or on the indy's too if they wanted it. AKA not in the TNA Aces roster, but prospecting on the indy's/OVW before the call them up.

Nah dude, Mr. America Hulk Hogan would never side with heels! The Outsiders were trying to take over WCW, after all! Just imagine... no, it's too horrible to just think about it. Hogan is a babyface.... 4Life!

The last part of the promo is interesting.
Nice. That's the first time I've seen anything of him and he obviously has the promo skills.

I don't think that's the case, if you look at the original Y2J angle it worked despite jericho not being a huge name like sting or goldberg.
It's all about the writing and how they present the talent, I like the idea of teddy hart being on A&8's but is he reliable?

jay bradley's promo was impressive. he had a few too many "uh's" but I'm nitpicking and it's an easy fix.

However, didn't A's and 8's have beef with hokogan? how will they explain that? with claire lynch? Maybe she's not fired, she's switching story lines.

Default Re: Aces & Eights Discussion Thread

What I kind of wanted to see from the beginning was A&8s to attack Jeff Jarrett in Mexico, since from the beginning everyone figured it was him.

I don't want A&8s to make the same mistakes as Immortal. I'm a huge fan of E Bischoff, but I no longer want to see him in charge of stables as it always seems like nWo and his time as an on-screen character like that seems to have run it's course(he's the devil we already know.) Same could be said for Jarrett. Personally, I'd like to see Bischoff back at the commentating booth, but I think he's too busy for that.

As for Immortal, you put all the TNA originals(Fourtune,Abyss) in the group to be boo'd and mixed them with Flair, Hogan, Hardy... I want the A&8s to consist of nothing but outsiders. So far guys like Brisco, Gallows, Knox fit the bill.

As for the guy who I would use as the leader/authority figure... I would use Bruce Prichard(health permitting.) Ever since he joined TNA, I've thought about him doing a takeover. We already know he's got power in the company, it'd make sense for him to sign these new guys and try and use them to takeover the company.

Another reason Prichard makes sense is because he's also an outsider and being an ex-WWE official, he has ties to guys like Gallows/Brisco etc and other WWE future endeavors. If these guys were to link up w/ Jarrett/Bischoff, where did they find them, the side of the road?? Ring Ka King only really works with Gallows(and Masters if he acutally signs but that's it.)

Gallows, Knox, Brisco... Masters, Compton, Bradley, Teddy Hart(this all depends on how AAA guys are used and if they actually ever show up)... you really can add a lot of names when considering Bruce was an official with WWE for so long and most if not all of these guys were at one time signed with WWE.

The reason I want the group to be big is because I want it to be seen as a serious threat. Also, there needs to be enough guys to match up with the big guns in TNA(and so far the group lacks starpower), but that's just one scenario. It all really depends on how big TNA wants to go with this.

But basically, I rather Prichard be the leader then JJ/Bischoff. Though if JJ is leader and adds AAA talent to A&8s, that'd be nice as well. AAA talent though joining A&8s and attacking JJ makes sense as JJ has been down in Mexico trying to takeover AAA all this time lol.

I want a stable that DOESNT want to takeover TNA. A DX type faction that causes shenanigans, gets on peoples nerves and are just entertaining as hell. Not every faction needs to be in a takeover story line. That is what I want. Give me good matches and entertainment. Not another power struggle.

And some of us think DX was annoying and immature. To each their own.

Why doesn't Sting just ask Dixie who she hired recently that is jumping them or tell her to get better security if she didn't hire them? lol
This storyline is all kinds of shit sorry. I can't believe people are excited for yet another TNA faction that will fail and end up accomplishing nothing.
