Back then it felt like you were watching the stars of tomorrow today, now you don't feel that.
There's good talent there but none of them looks "big" enough because the TNA-OVW connection isn't working.
You have 2 separated promotions and nobody from OVW makes a impact in TNA (besides alex silva but where is he?)
If they had a guy like al snow on OVW as ali vaez manager saying "this kid is going to be the next big thing", you got a star right there.
TNA needs to push at least one guy as a big star from OVW in order to send a message to locker room and the world saying "OVW is the future"
Rob Terry or Jessie Godderz are doing fine. Heck, big Rob already made oVw history by holding every title in OVW.

From the OVW there are a few guys that i would get them a shot at TNA roster:
Cliff Compton - Of course. He has talent, natural heel look and good mic skills. He would be a very interesting character to fill the midcard.
Jessie Godderz - It's a matter of time for him to debut in TNA. Great looks and could be a solid wrestler as singles or tag-team.
Jason Wayne - For he's main-event material. With the right gimmick and the right push, he has potencial to really develop to a world championship contender level.
Calling it now: Godderz will be the first wrestler to win is match on Gut Check. Like him or not, just like Cena, Godderz might help TNA gain a bigger female audience.

Brand new interview with Jessie Godderz, prior to his FWE appearance in New York:
Really liking his improvement. His cocky attitude used to feel forced before but now it feels much more natural and real. He wouldn't feel out of place on a major mainstream talk show IMO, which I believe is an issue with a lot of wrestlers today.
Godderz is out of the Vince Russo philosophy of how to develop WWE/TNA wrestlers. His philosophy was to take a guy who can talk, act, and has charisma, and train him how to be a wrestler. Then he will be a superstar. Rather than do it the traditional way which is to teach someone how to wrestle and then hope they can learn how to talk, act, and have any charisma. He felt the wrestling business did things backwards.
I also hear that Rob Terry is starting to use some wrestling moves and is getting better in his matches. And not just Lex Luger power moves. Maybe the IWC will stop hating on him.
