Re: What do you think will be the next big angle in TNA?
First off, Ratedr4Life, I personally feel that if Hardy didn't fuck up, he would have kept the title until Bound For Glory where he would have faced AJ Styles in an all or nothing type match; Hardy representing Immortal and AJ representing Fortune and TNA. That is where it should have gone to, IMO. I don't think AJ should turn heel at all because to be quite honest, he needs to stay one disposition for more than two or three years at a time if he and TNA really expects us to believe he's a real person instead of a character, if that makes sense. Keep him face for another two years, I say.
In answer to the question, I'm going to answer in what I feel SHOULD or I WANT to happen, rather than what WOULD happen because quite frankly, we can't rely on TNA to provide gripping, interesting and simple feuds to be honest - But that is just me being very pessimistic, you can call this fantasy booking.
I'd have Roode and Storm facing at Lockdown, where Roode will win through some dirty tactics and at Slammiversary, it'll be a multi-man match featuring both Storm and Roode, as well as someone else/some other people. Storm will gain the victory and win the title without Roode being involved in the decision so that adds fuel to the fire and gives Roode ammunition, saying that Storm still has never beaten Bobby Roode. Then have the opposite of what's happening now with James Storm, building up to face Roode, and have Bobby building up to face Storm at BFG. You could make Sting say that Bobby is now at the back of the line and has to work his way up. Meanwhile, have AJ work his way up as well, defeating the likes of Bully Ray, a heel Anderson etc. KEEP ALL THREE MEN APART.
Have both men's (Roode and Styles) efforts go noticed by Sting or whoever the authority figure is, and book a number one contender's match between Styles and Roode with Storm being the special guest referee. Have the match end in a suspicious fashion, giving either AJ or Roode a reason to protest. Then have said superstar to fight for another chance at BFG because they didn't have a fair fight at No Surrender.
Three-way between Styles, Storm and Roode for BFG. You have the ongoing rivalry between Roode and Storm, with the added dynamic of Storm still never defeating Roode (because Bobby wasn't involved in the decision at Slammy). Add on the wildcard in AJ who has been credibly built and isn't entirely bothered about the vendetta between Roode and Storm, but instead wants to be the figurehead of TNA by showing heart, courage and determination.
Fantasy Booking ftw.
In answering your proper question, I see Roode vs. Hardy at BFG. Somehow they're going to build that up, whether it be Hardy winning another BFG series or whathaveyou, somehow or someway, Hardy is leaving BFG with the title whether he went in there with it or not. Storm will be in an upper-midcard match with maybe Sting in his retirement match, or maybe even AJ. God knows, but Roode will come out of this looking more of a star than Storm, I'd be willing to put money on that.
