Re: Devon Appreciation Thread

About time we got one of these.

If the demand is popular enough, I'll sticky it. And sticking is serious business.

You're forgetting this is TNA man. Devon has at least 15 peak years left and around another decade after that for his career to wind down. BFG 2011 could be the start of the TESTIFY ERA if Dixie and co. don't fuck this up.

Re: Devon Appreciation Thread

Here's my thing.

I like Devon. I really do, but at this point in his career, I don't see him as being a legit main eventer. He was a tag team wrestling for nearly 2 decades and is in the last legs of him being a performer as it is. I don't see anyway they can believably build a future around the guy. I think he should be playing the same role that Steiner does. He's still over. Still works hard, but is largely just there to help put the young guys over because his best days are behind him and its time to find something new.

Re: Devon Appreciation Thread

It's about time this thread was made. Currently Devon is part of an exclusive club that includes Roddy Piper, Razor Ramon and Ted DiBiase, the greatest wrestlers to never be World Champion. Devon is perhaps the best wrestler in that club and he deserves to have a lengthy reign on top of TNA to pay him back for all he's done for the business.

Re: Devon Appreciation Thread

Tag team wrestling for 20 years means he saved his legs, he has the legs of someone about to turn 30, not 40.

Re: Devon Appreciation Thread

Listen to how over he is with the crowd. This match was another Devon classic. His story telling is excellent, and his promo was amazing.

He was held down by racism and the evil white bosses of New England.

WCW fans who can't let go of the past are killing pro-wrestling today. There I said it.

Re: Devon Appreciation Thread

I'm telling you right now. Devon will be a better World champion than any other World champion of this year. Devon for the win.

Based Devon.

Listen to the fucking pop when Devon destroys Samoa Joe in the middle of the ring. Similar to Punk's pop at MITB.
