What's amazing is that he is only 38 which means he has 4 years of his peak left.
You're forgetting this is TNA man. Devon has at least 15 peak years left and around another decade after that for his career to wind down. BFG 2011 could be the start of the TESTIFY ERA if Dixie and co. don't fuck this up.
I like Devon. I really do, but at this point in his career, I don't see him as being a legit main eventer. He was a tag team wrestling for nearly 2 decades and is in the last legs of him being a performer as it is. I don't see anyway they can believably build a future around the guy. I think he should be playing the same role that Steiner does. He's still over. Still works hard, but is largely just there to help put the young guys over because his best days are behind him and its time to find something new.
It's about time this thread was made. Currently Devon is part of an exclusive club that includes Roddy Piper, Razor Ramon and Ted DiBiase, the greatest wrestlers to never be World Champion. Devon is perhaps the best wrestler in that club and he deserves to have a lengthy reign on top of TNA to pay him back for all he's done for the business.
