It makes a boatload of sense, because Sting is going to claim that Hogan is conning the fans and that they are going to cheer Hogan right into sending TNA to a grave much like WCW.
But Sting is still the heel right? Aka the bad guy? Yeah.

More like an anti-hero.

Because trust me, they're going to give Sting a reason for his actions.

I like the explanation provided by the OP. I have also thought that the sting/hogan situation as basically a reversal of roles around the time of starrcade '97, except this time hogan is the mega face and sting the mega heel. In any case, I'm interested in seeing where this goes since I'm a huge Sting fan. I'm hoping the actual reason tna gives for sting's heel turn is just as thought out rather than a shock value type of thing where people will still end up cheering sting no matter what. Btw, I cringed when hogan barely got his leg up for the big boot.

There hasn't been a face vs face feud for ages. It will do really well, even though they are kissing ass it will make the audience feel like they are apart of it all. It forces the audience choose a side, right now the audience has no idea on whats going on. Just like when Warrior went against Hogan, it was epic.

Its going to take alot of good promos to pull it off but if it is done right then it will be huge for TNA.

There is no other explanation on why Sting would turn heel from out of nowhere. Sting sees it as Hogan is using he's stars as puppets so that he can get all the glory. A chance to be in the spotlight for one last time. But TNA signed him thinking that he was going to make everyone on TNA a house hold name, but infact, he is bringing in old house hold names.

As for Sting going against AJ and Flair instead that was way too obvious. The show already revolves around everyone hating AJ, no one can stand him because since he teamed up with Flair he has changed. It would have been even worse if Sting joined the rest of the roster in hating on him.

They have teamed Sting with AJ and Flair so that they can build an alliance against Hogan's broken promise.

Sting wasn't going to sign with TNA unless he was going to have a MASSIVE storyline and this is the way to do it. And this is the only way people are going to tune in to see whats going to happen next week.

I actually really like this idea, but if they go through with this then sting will go back to being a babyface and hogan would turn heel . Actually hogan would get the hell booed out of him because oepole will start to realize that hes taking the company down like wcw and he would become the ultimate heel !

The problem is this would make too much sense , so it probably won;t happen.

Hogan won't be boo'd. And the reason is he has the star power. Jeff Hardy on his side, Along with RVD, Abyss and other wrestlers that will also be built up and turned into stars.

Its supposed to come off as Face faction vs Face Faction. Can anyone remember the last time there was a Face vs Face feud?

The only other thing that it could be is, Sting is really a heel and he just doesn't like Hogan at all.

Its just impossible for Sting to get boo'd, Unless TNA come up with a roster of Referees that he can keep beating up.

Here's the thing...he aint never like hogan know way...thats why he attacked him. Dixie know him and Hogan had problems thats why he doesnt have to explain. RVD was in the wrong place wrong time and tried to show him up. He like AJ and respects Flair...why attack them...

This would make a LOT of sense if Sting and Hogan pull off the ultimate feud, and we know they could because look at Starrcade 1997. I am sure you will probably see something huge where Sting is a one-man army fighting off all of Hogan's "Superstars" probably to the point where you find Sting go into a match with one of Hogan's "superstars".
You may even see Sting allign himself up with AJ and Flair, eventually revealing Styles and Flair have been Faces all alone as well.

I could see something happening at like Slammiversary or Bound For Glory where Sting goes up against someone like Abyss. Sting would destroy Abyss, but Hogan will come down and beat the Holy Hell out of the Icon, with the help of guys like Foley, Nash, and Angle. Then out of nowhere, AJ Styles, Sabin, Shelly, Joe, and Daniels all come out to aid Sting. This would reverse all the roles and send TNA the message that Sting is the guy who builds the young guys and Hogan is all about the big names.

Exactly, but knowing TNA they will blow it some way or another unfortunately. And it hurts me so much to say it.

Honestly, I would align Sting with Raven. Raven was in WCW when Hogan and his boys burned it down. Raven was one of the guys repeatedly held back because of guys like Hogan and The Band. Raven has always been sort of anti establishment and intelligent. He could get a long overdue rub and push and maybe he could even land himself in the world title picture which would be justice for 1 of the best and most legendary characters to never have won a world title for a company with televised wrestling programming.
