Knowing TNA, theyll put the belt on Jarrett or Angle. Or have Foley retain.
LOL wouldn't the belt ending up on one of those guys make the most sense? Samoa Joe is hurt and probably needs to take some time off after this PPV. AJ is Legends Champion and still hasn't shown any signs of being able to carry the show with his stale character and subpar mic skills. I like AJ and I still like his potential but there's a reason why he hasn't been Champion since TNA has been on Spike. Saying "Knowing TNA" makes it sound like your using the lame sterotype. That TNA favors veterans and don't wanna push the young wrestlers. But there's a reason why Foley, Jarrett, Sting and Angle are on top of the show. It's because all of those guys can create good tv every week. Because they have good characters that are over with wrestling fans(also the common fan) and have good mic skills. TNA's hoping Joe/AJ can get to their level but there not quite there yet. All TNA does is try to put on the best show possible. Fans might not agree with who they use at the top, but I think TNA knows a little more then us. Trust me if AJ or Joe or anybody else had their characters over as much as the veterans or could cut promos like the veterans they would run the show.

As for the Slammiversary build I have to admit I'm kinda disappointed. But that probably is because I'm comparing it with Lockdown/Bound for Glory and it's nowhere close to that. The build for this PPV would be fine if it was for a Sacrifice, Against all Odds or Victory Road. But this is suppose to be the second or third biggest TNA ppv of the year. Look at the build for the matches
World Title KOTM match Foley vs Angle vs Jarrett vs Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles- This build up is probably the most disappointing thing about the PPV. Mick Foley is the World Champion, but has acted more like a GM or Commissioner the last three weeks. We seen him go out make a bunch of matches and was upset with what Jeff Jarrett did to Earl Hebner. Besides talking about defending the title once a year, Jim Cornette could have done the same thing the last three weeks. The guy is your world champion and the focus should be on him and trying to keep the belt and his challengers. While Jeff Jarrett has had a mini feud with Eric Young(who's not in the match) and has attacked referees. There's been no Jeff Jarrett promos about how this is his match and he's won both times he's been in it or anything like that. Wouldn't a Foley/Jarrett promo about the KOTM match and the World title make more sense then one about Foley suspending Jarrett for beating up Earl? Kurt Angle has been very quiet and is more concerned about not getting killed by Joe then winning the title. AJ focus has been more with Daniels/Douglas feud, and has not even talked about possibly winning the world title. While Joe cares more about taking the MEM out one by one then he does about titles. So where's the tension between these guys? Where's the hype for this match? How many actual promos have there been about this match? This match just feels like five guys thrown in a match with very little focus on the World Title. I think the next weeks show will put more focus on this match. But it's kinda too late with it being the go home show before the PPV. Sadly the build for the main event at Sacrifice was even way better then this. I guess TNA must feel the match and the big name wrestlers in it will sell itself.
Sting vs Matt Morgan
It looks like these guys will be wrestling eachother. But the tension between the two has been very minor. We had Sting feel Morgan doesn't have much respect and Morgan cost him the match with Angle this week. Again this just feels thrown together without much build or heat between the two. Which isn't good when it's one of the top matches on the card.
Team 3D vs Beer Money
I don't mind this as much. Because these two teams had a heated feud between Destination X and Lockdown. Now the feud has turned more towards respect between eachother. I also liked this past week that Team 3D was bothered that Beer Money didn't have their backs while they helped them out the week before.
Daniels vs Shane Douglas
There has been a decent amount of time given to this feud and I think the idea of the feud is alright. But does anybody really believe Shane Douglas has a chance to win this match? The guy hasn't really wrestled in 5-6 years and last was seen in TNA as a manager. I think TNA needed to make Douglas look alot stronger then they have. Having him lose to AJ and tap out clean like that was a bad idea. It would have been much better if they made Douglas look like a awesome badass and coming back trying to get his job back. Instead they made him appear like a washed up pathetic guy and nobody really believes he can beat Daniels.
Raven/Daffney vs Abyss/Wilde
This is what I believe the match will be. I think this feud has been done pretty well. Especially when you consider how bad the Dr. Stevie stuff was a few months ago. They did a good job making Raven appear creepy and made him look strong. They have also shown signs of Abyss acting more like a monster again. Daffney/Wilde already had something going from last month so mixing in the Abyss and Raven/Dr. Stevie stuff with it is pretty well done.
X-Division title KOTM Match
Suicide vs Alex Shelley vs Chris Sabin vs Jay Lethal vs Creed
This is pretty much left over from last month with those four trying to find out who Suicide is. But again where is Suicide? We have seen those four tagging with eachother. But there's been no focus on the match or trying to win the title or even much focus on unmasking Suicide. Having them tag with eachother isn't building the storyline.
Womans title match
Angelina Love vs Tara
I think this feud has been very well done and I don't really have any problems with it. TNA did what they were suppose to do by making new comer Tara look strong and make people believe she's here to take Angelina Love title. It's probably the best build for a title match on this show.
So as you can see I'm pretty disappointed with the build for this ppv, especially the two KOTM matches, Sting/Morgan and Daniels/Douglas. Don't get me wrong the card on paper is very good. But I just feel the build has been crappy for a big PPV. I know they still have one more show left and I do believe there will be more focus on those matches. But in my opinion I feel it will be too little too late.

After seeing the card I have full hope in TNA pulling out a PPV-of-the-year contender. Both KOTM's look amazing, the World Title one looks stacked as hell. Team 3D and Beer Money are due for a great tag team classic soon! I'm hoping they have it here. ALOT of potential with this card, I'm fucking pumped.
Umm.... here's a question. Where's Awesome Kong. Seriously, I can understand keeping Kong away from the title and all but you should at least have her wrestling on the PPV. She dropped off the face of iMPACT didn't she?

The bigger TNA's roaster gets, the more "where is___" we're going to get. Fact is, they can't fit everyone into the show, even though some don't deserve to be left out.

Yes. It WOULD make sense. Which is why I said it. I didnt mean it in a "Knowing TNA they wont give a young guy his chance to shine" way. Bound for Glory should be the event where a young guy gets put over.

Pretty sure she wanted time off to heal some injuries.

Having more than one women's match on the PPV in unnecessary considering their matches are going to be a lot more boring than those of their male counterparts.
Bound for Glory should be the event where a young guy gets put over.
All things considered it looks like the Frontline vs MEM feud has been dropped since Lockdown. It basically has turned into a AJ vs a memeber of the MEM and Joe against a memeber of the MEM. At this point I don't know if they will really go back to Frontline vs MEM group vs group. Especially when Joe is taking out 2-3 guys by himself. I dunno maybe things will change down the line if they change some of the memebers or Sting isn't the leader. But from what I heard I think we will probably see Joe vs AJ at Bound for Glory(and not for the title). Which would tell me that things probably won't change too much over the next three plus months. Foley vs Angle is also being talked about for Bound for Glory and I wouldn't be surprised to see Sting vs Jarrett or Sting vs another veteran he chooses to wrestle.
