Took some time out from my vacation to check out Impact.

- Great that they opened up the show with Booker T, and thankfully Cornette came out to try and straighten things out. Joe vs. Booker II is set for Hard Justice which is good. At least we know that Joe is definately the champion. I also like that Joe isn't going to take the belt back. It's almost like he's setting up Booker for his fall. The exchange on the mic was good. The only problem was the whole "invisible wall" thing where Joe & Booker didn't start fighting, but at set up the Hard Justice main event well.

- Great heel promo from Beer Money.

- Kaz promo: Its like they are setting up Kaz for an angle where he just can't win the big one, no matter how hard he tries.

Match 1 - "Maple Leaf Muscle" Petey Williams (c) w/Rhaka Khan vs. Kaz

This wasn't as good as the match they had at Slammiversary, but still a hell of a match for TV. I thought Kaz had the belt won with The Wave of the Future. I was disappointed that Kaz didn't win, but it seems like they are setting Kaz up for something.

Winner - Petey Williams via Pinfall

- JB & EY: The "Prince Justice Brotherhood" Uh ok. They seemed to be making fun of the fact that wrestlers tell their secrets while a camera is on them.

- Joe promo: Iteresting exchange between Joe & Nash.

- Beer Money strapping the hell out of the production crew...dicks!

- Kurt Angle & Team 3D come out dressed like Sting. Super Eric, Shark Boy, & Curry Man having a meeting. Oh my God a superhero faction? Well they got their asses kicked by Beer Money.

Match 2 -"The Blueprint" Matt Morgan vs. Jimmy Rave w/Christy Hemme

Quick win for Morgan. Cool finisher for Morgan too.

Winner - Matt Morgan via Pinfall

Match 3 - "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan vs. Lance Rock w/Christy Hemme

Lance Rock huh? I guess that makes the tag team name work better. This was another quick win for Morgan, but he seemed to get over pretty big here. This whole segment just served as a showcase for Matt Morgan, and he came off really well here.

Winner - Matt Morgan via Pinfall

- Knockouts Backstage with Cornette - Nice to see Traci Brooks back on TV. Like I said before, she's too cute not to be on my TV. Knockouts Gauntlet is cool. Cornette was awesome in this segment.

- Karen's Angle: Well at least we finally know what her job is. That might be a good way to use her.

- Beer Money go through Orlando whipping people...DICKS!!!

- Angle & Team 3D come and invite Sting to join them? Interesting. Is it just me or is AJ above Christian now? Thats really nice to see. Six Man Table Match next week on Impact. That'll be cool. This segment was good for setting that up.

- TNA Knockouts video package. It was cool. Nice to know the title shot earned tonight is for next week's show.

Match 4 - Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky vs. Roxxi vs. "The Pride of Tennessee" Jackie Moore vs. Traci Brooks vs. Salinas vs. Rhaka Khan vs. Christy Hemme: Knockouts Gauntlet for Title Shot

Gauntlets are always fun and this was no exception. The Beautiful People working together added a nice dynamic to the match, making them the people to beat. Rhaka Khan didn't look too great in there. As far as I know this was the first time she'd wrestled a match in TNA. Salinas should feel sad. Only one eliminated duruing the entry portion of the match. ODB is mad over.

Awwww, Traci & Christy were eliminated during the break. Jackie was impressive in this match. She doesn't get to show it much, but she's a good wrestler. It felt appropriate for the match to come down to Gail vs. The Beautiful People. I was shocked that they gave the win to Velvet Sky, but at least its somebody new I guess.

Winner - Velvet Sky

- Cheap plug for the TNA program as Booker flips through looking for an opponent. Having a stretcher match with Creed seems weird but I like how Booker is acting like he's the champion.

- Jay Lethal promo: This was good for setting up a possibility that Val will turn on him.

Match 5 - "Showtime" Eric Young vs. Johnny Devine vs. "Guru" Sonjay Dutt

This was a cool little match, but some of the spots seemed a little sloppy. I like that Sonjay Dutt got the win though. The beatdown with Lethal after the match was well done and its setting up a Val/Lethal split.

Winner - Sonjay Dutt via Pinfall

- Beer Money Inc. Did I mention they are dicks! They threaten to whip the fans. D'Amore & Diamond try to stop them and get embarissed. Hector gets invovled and Beer Money beats him down. LAX finally comes in to run them off and I'm happy that they are continuing this feud.

- So why isn't Tomko with Angle & 3D that much? It's not true that Team 3D has never lost a tables match. They lost one to Vince & Shane McMahon & one against The Naturals. Tomko is going to crash "Karen's Angle" next week.

- Great promo by Creed! He's an exciting guy.

Main Event - Booker T w/Sharmell vs. Consequences Creed: Stretcher Match

Short match, but Creed got to show off a little bit, which was cool. But as expected, Booker ended up getting the win.

Winner - Booker T

- The ending with Joe coming out of the ambulance really reminded me of WWF Attitude Era days. It was cool.

This episode of Impact was solid. It was pretty "paint by numbers" Nothing horrible, but nothing special. They seemed to spend a lot of time hyping next week's show.

Debut of Karen's Angle
Beer Money vs. MCMG: Strap match
Velvet vs. Taylor: Knockouts Title
AJ, Cage, Rhino vs. Angle, Team 3D: Tables Match
Sting in Angle's Corner?

Is there a reason why they put so much stuff on next week's show? Anyways, this weeks show advanced stories and gave us some solid wrestling. I wish they had cleared up the Sting thing a little bit.

Very good Impact tonight, Brother Ray wins again with the comment about Christians ego being bigger than Awesome Kongs toilet seat.

Joe/Booker Six Sides of Steele - I'm there.

is Cage in doghouse or what? ever after breaking from AJ and Tomko, he's been wandering in midcard, tagging in with Rhino. A moderate show, Petey/Kaz was good, Jackie's MMA goodness in the battle royal was good. Roxxi/Jackie feud is interesting. Two good workers. I guess Morgan/Abyss feud is in the works, which could be great

Loved all the Ange/3D promos were very good. They are such great heels and I'm really liking their characters atm.
Beer Money get better each week cutting promos.
Really dont want to see this "Karens Angle" thing, she makes my ears bleed.
Excuse me, I have to empty the super hero gun hahahhaha
Dont really wanna see Joe turn into this guy who doesnt even believe in himself, and get all emotional.
I'm really liking this Sting/Joe/Booker angle.
Finally had a good finish to the show, no Angle beatdown this time. Interesting with the bat at the end.
Next weeks Impact should be good minus Karen.

I said the Morgan finisher was weak yesterday, now that I think about it, I don't think it's that bad. He just needs to use it on somebody that can sell it well. Then again you could say that about half of the wrestling moves out there.

^That's true, it looks like the type of finisher a big guy like Morgan would use but it just hasn't really gotten over it. (Last night was a good start)

I'm usually not a big fan of squashes, but I think last night's ones were a necessity to make Morgan look strong. It's not like Rave and Hoyt are really doing much anyway, but it was a piece of pretty traditional booking on TNA's part and you don't necessarily see it that often from them.

Morgan himself seemed to be really over in the Impact Zone, if they handle this guy right he really could be a big star. He's not the greatest in-ring worker, but he can get the job done and he does look very impressive at times.

Not to mention he's charismatic as heck and is an above average talker when he isn't yelling

I LMAOed at the interview with Kurt Angle when he kept trying to do Sting's "woo".
