i'd like to see where gerweck is getting it's number from because it looked like a lot more than just 3000 fans in that arena from where i was sitting.

In all likelihood, it's 3000 paid to get in. Everyone you saw beyond that 3000 mark probably got in free.

I've been watching TNA for roughly 9 months and that was the best one I've seen so far. The twelve man tag was incredible, I thought that would be the best match by a mile, but I didn't count on the Ultimate X match, which was even better. 12 man Ultimate X, anyone?

Another excellent match was the Metal Mayhem one, although I am getting bored with Frank Trigg interfering with Angle matches. For such a great PPV it had a very poor ending. I've only just watched it now - well worth the wait.

TNA Victory Road 2008 Ratings/Thoughts

12 Man World X Cup Elimination Tag Match

****1/2

An absolute blaster of an opener, action packed. Yoshino and Shelley were perfect as the last two combatants. This was the best opener of 2008 for any wrestling company. Whole some of the spots could of been better, i thought this was a fantastic showing from TNA.

Gail Kim vs Angelina Love

**

The only problem i had was that Angelina Love should of won to continue the feud and that the match should of went a tad bit longer. Good for what it was, This is way better than an Average WWE Diva Match.

Jay Lethal vs Sonjay Dutt

**3/4

I much proffered the Genesis encounter a while ago, while this match was ok.. It was mainly focused on Val and not the actual feud between the two former mates. All i can say it Sonjay wasnt showcased well enough during this encounter, hopefully if this feud makes it to Bound For Glory, they can have a **** match.

Awesome Kong vs Taylor Wilde

**

This was a great showing from both Divas, loved the spot where Taylor arm dragged Kong off the top rope. It was good to let Taylor keep the title. Solid match. Once again better than a Diva match

Beer Money vs LAX

***

While i enjoyed this more than others, i would of liked to see more Hernandez and more usage of the Lumberjack style match. This should of went on longer, but it was pretty good for what it was. Props for James and Robert for taking those vicious strap shots.

Ultimate X

***1/4

This was a great addition to an already stacked card, the spot with the leg drop was freaking insane, and the Mexican wrestler, is brilliant. Good showing from TNA but this needed a couple more big spots and maybe an extra 3 minutes or so. This was nearly great.

Full Metal Mayhem

****

Fucking sweet match up here, Christians leap from the top was incredible, Angle, Olympic Slamming AJ Through the table was too. There were also heaps of other good moments, but i would of liked to see more Rhino. This was a great match second best of the night.. The finish was A+

Booker T vs Samoa Joe

***1/4 - ***1/2

Let me be the first to say, i actually liked the finish. It shows out Joes true dominance. Second of all this was an old school type match up and it was good for what it was. It was built up like crazy (Unlike WWE's Mainevents) and im going to have to say it delivered. I liked the idea of Sting coming out and trying to resolve the situation, but i didnt like when Sharmell did the pin count for Booker. Never the less this was a pretty good encounter, cant wait to see what else these 2 bring to the table

--

Victory Road is the best PPV showing from TNA all year. With4 or 5 ***+ Matches im very happy with this ppv.

8.5/10

Great showing TNA!

Just got back from holiday and caught up with all the TNA I missed.

What a crazy ending :S Made Joe look badass but didn't really make much sense.

World X cup has been amazing this year, was also good to see Team TNA not winning.

WWE house shows draws better than that. How the Hell does TNA stay in business with PPV attendance numbers this godawful?
That's like comparing Marks & Spenser to Martin's Newsagents. There's a slight level of unfairness there.

And yes, Team Japan were robbed.
