Re: Slammiversary Discussion Thread
Abyss vs Scott Steiner - I beleive this match is to get Abyss over as he is returning, bu t i also believe this match CAN be good if done right.
I think if Jay Lethal vs Sonjay Dutt was added to the PPV then it would definately make it a whole lot better. This wedding crap... I hope it goes somewhere.

Re: Slammiversary Discussion Thread
So is Abyss/Steiner actually on the card? I like that there might be another match added, but Steiner seems like an odd choice for Abyss to obviously squash on his return.
Steiner was just in the main event of the last PPV, they could've just had Abyss crush Lance Hoyt or Kip James.

I hope that Angle is ready to go. I expect he has had some rest. Styles vs. Angle is a match I have been wanting to see since Angle joined TNA.

I believe it is on Bravo2 on the Wednesday after the Sunday its on Live in US - so the 11th of June, I think 8/9pm.
I think that Joe shouldn't retain, he is a good champ and all, but I think it would be kool if the KotM match kept its "curse"
Screwjob by Nash maybe?
Plus would be hilarious if Sonjay didn't fancy So Cal Val but Lethal instead? And THEY turned on her, lolz!

I am going to miss this in favor of game two of the NBA Finals. I'm sure I'll watch a replay of it later though.

Re: Slammiversary Discussion Thread
TNA Slammiversary Predictions
LAX vs Team 3D
I think this should be a pretty straightforward retention for LAX, I can't see 3D getting the belts at the moment and I can't see this being LAX's long-term program. Hopefully they'll go over here and move on to a big feud with MCMG. I wouldn't be surprised if Hector played a small part again. I'd love it if the finish involved a table somehow, perhaps a Border Toss or Gringo Cutter through it? I can see this topping Sacrifice.
Awesome Kong $25,000 Challenge
I don't like having two women's matches on a PPV and I don't like them using a PPV to further an Impact segment. I feel this has just been added to fill a slot, which I would have rather seen a thrown together tag match or something. We might see Shantelle Taylor (I think that's her name) as a viable challenger from the crowd which might be interesting, but we already know how this is going to end. Awesome Bomb. 1. 2. 3.
Petey Williams vs Kaz
I can't see Petey dropping the title this soon and Kaz looks to be in line for a singles push with a title shot next week. I wish they had done more with this feud to add heat to it - they could have cut a couple more promos together and Petey could have had Steiner destroy Kaz sometime to get heat. A Steiner/Kaz match on Impact would have been good too. Anyway, I'm hoping, with only 5 proper matches on the card, they'll give this the time to be a 2005-esque X-Division classic. Petey over Kaz, probably not clean.
Jay Lethal/So Cal Val Wedding
I don't think this should be on PPV either. I'm looking forward to seeing the legends but apart from that it sounds like a piss break. I'll forgive it if Sonjay does a fucking savage heel turn.
The Beautiful People vs Gail Kim, ODB & Roxxi
I think TBP will go over here since they have their new bodyguard. Also I don't think any of the others will go back to Kong yet so this feud will continue. Should be a good, fast-paced match with 6 varied and all competent performers.
AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle
Undoubted MOTYC potential here. I just hope Kurt is fully healed so they can go all out and put on a superb match. I'd rather Karen didn't interfere too much, but I can see her costing Kurt the match somehow. If they repeat Angle/Joe Sacrifice finish I'll be pissed. I'd love it if Tomko interfered and AJ still came out on top, would be a great surprise. I'm looking for AJ over Kurt with a rare appearance from the Styles Clash. They look to be pushing AJ towards the top of the face pile so a clean win over Angle would do a good job.
King of the Mountain - Samoa Joe vs Robert Roode vs Christian Cage vs Rhino vs Booker T
This match should be excellent. The X-Div one on Impact was the first I had seen and it was fucking awesome, I hope the heavyweights can top it. I'm fairly confident in Joe going over here, with Booker as his main competition. This should lead nicely into a Booker T/Samoa Joe match at Victory Road in Houston. Because that match would fit well I reckon they'll save a Nash heel turn for later. I would mark for a Muscle Buster off the ladder/penalty box.
Overall Thoughts
I think this show has the strongest potential card so far this year in TNA, possibly wrestling in general besides WrestleMania. 3D/LAX, Kaz/Petey, Angle/AJ and KOTM could all be ****+, and I'd expect nothing less of the latter 3. The 6-man tag should be ***+ and hopefully they do interesting stuff with the two segments to make them bearable.

Re: Slammiversary Discussion Thread
Two women's matches is bizarre. I highly doubt that will help developing the product although I heard somewhere that they have been getting a little publicity.
Anyone has an estimated attendance?
