BG James, Kip James and Dustin Rhodes should be released. Kevin Nash should retire and become an agent for TNA.
Kurt Angle does give TNA their best chance to go mainstream, but it hasn't happened yet. Angle has yet to appear on any talk shows, promoting the TNA product and making the mainstream say "hey wait a second! There's another pro wrestling company besides WWE?"
If it wasnt for the big names like Angle, then TNA wouldnt have anywere near their current level of succsess. Also just because a wretler has hit 40 doesnt mean that their talent & ability suddenly erodes over night. Back in the day, the large majority of maineventers were in there 40/50s or older.
Finaly putting the belt on Joe at Lockdown was a big step, and shows they trust him to lead the company. Talented youngsters like Roode & Storm have also come a long way in recent years. Sting, Steiner, Nash and even Booker have done nothing but put the younger talent over.
At the momemt Angle, Jarrett, Steiner and even Sting are all still capable of having great matches along with their drawing ability. I wouldnt worry about the company becoming too overun with "Has beens" for the time being. Im sure TNA are very aware of the pitfalls that befell WCW in the late 90s.

TNA needs to start focusing primarily on the following people: Samoa Joe, Christian, Robert Rude, Chris Sabin, Hernadez & Homicide, James Storm, Jay Lethal, Johnny Devine, KAZ, Matt Morgen, Petey Williams, & Tomko.
If they start bringing up the young guys above things will turn out much better than just promoting the older guys who will retire soon.
We're all aware of the fact that most of TNA's wrestlers are has-beens and are way past their prime.
Come on now "all" of them? Not even close, they are just pushing the wrong people at this point, as wrestling show they are far and above WWE. WWE is all about the show and they usually have bad wrestling.

has beens are people who cant contribute anything to the company. Sting, Booker, Kevin Nash, Steiner and Angle are all more than capable of doing this.
Dustin, Kip and BG are all washed up and dont deserve to be in the company.
and TNA hasnt created huge stars but there not a huge company. AJ, Daniels, Joe, MCMG, Roode, Kaz are all prett estabilshed to a certain extent. if you think that people are has beens because there old then have a look at the WWE roster.
WWE:
JBL: 41 years old
Shawn Michaels: 42 Years old
William Regal: 40 years old
Triple H: 38 years old
Batista: 39 years old
Undertaker: 43 years old
Finlay: 49 years old.
so what your saying is that old people arent good wrestlers or cant perform anymore. the list above just proves that. and please name a huge young talent that the WWE has created recently. who can actually wrestle. please dont say Cena.
Has-beens are people who have been in the game for a long time and refuse to step aside for the young guys. Your point about WWE is spot on. I agree completely. Guys like HHH, HBK, Batista are glory hogs, granted Batista was already old when he made it big. It shouldn't be this way. And i'm dissapointed it's going to be this way in TNA.
Someone said why would I mention Kip. As if he hasn't been taking up time on iMpact and PPVs? He just did a video shoot feud with B.G. where they would talk bad about eachother back and forth, taking up valubale air time, then to have a match at Lockdown. Now he appears to be entering a feud with Matt Morgan (where he will likely put Morgan over) But then he doesn't really have much put-over power to begin with. The point is, he's taking up TV time, thus less TV time for the younger guys. Less TV time for the X-division.
-Kevin Nash has wrestled a good amount recently, which isn't a good thing.
-Steiner was just in the world title picture, and beyond that holding down Petey Williams, another storyline that has gotten plenty of air time recently. Not long before that he was in a feud with 3D, which he brought back his brother Rick who looks 10x worse than he does.
-Dustin Rhodes(Black Reign) was just in a feud with Kaz, followed by 'Super' Eric. Since, he hasn't really done much. But I have no doubt they will find something for him.
-I won't even get into the spotlight hog that is Kurt Angle.
I could go on down the list. But I doubt it would do any good. Most posters here seem to be the 'new' fans of TNA, who became fans BECAUSE of the established talent, as opposed to fans like myself who liked TNA better without all these veterans.
I'll take the fast-paced, innovative wrestling, focused on the X-Division with less storylines and silly gimmicks and more wrestling, over what they're doing now 100x over.
Yeah, this topic is ridiculous. Kurt Angle, Booker T and Scott Steiner haven't lost a step in the ring not to mention they are all good mic workers. Jeff Jarrett and BG James have been in TNA since the very beginning, and neither are anywhere close to the main event scene. Jarrett hasn't even appeared in over six months, and what did he do in his last match there? That's right, he put Robert Roode over. Just like Booker T's been doing. Kip James and Black Reign will never get past the midcard. Nash is Nash, he wrestles only when he feels like it. Sting has been a main eventer or semi-main eventer for over a decade. These guys (except Black Reign and Kip James) are useful assets for TNA.
Someone else already pointed out the advanced age of WWE's top guys already as well. Both of these companies don't focus much on the young guys and midcard, which is something that made the Attitude Era so special.
