Team 3D vs Sting & James Storm - **3/4
Seems like a high rating, but the match was entertaining to me. I found it funny watching Storm drink beer while Sting fought 3D and when they "crossed the line" and let him chuck Storm through the table was hilarious and will develop a feud with great potential. It went at a decent opening pace with Sting and 3D getting in some offense and it helped the psychology of their semi final match to have 3D fresh while Rhino/Christian were injured.
Robert Roode & Booker T vs Christian Cage and Rhino - **1/2
A different slant on the "feuding partners" dynamic to Storm/Sting. It was a reasonably good match. The only thing I didn't like was how the commentators barely reacted to Rhino's Gore to finish it, where was DW's "GORE! GORE! GORE!" lol. I think I'm in the minority not liking a Booker T heel turn. It's the same they do with a lot of ex-WWE guys - having them come in as faces because the fans are grateful they're there and then rushing to turn them heel. Face Booker still had a couple of good feuds in him. Also I really got fed up with his last heel run in WWE (partly because of the King Booker gimmick but not entirely) and I detested Sharmell in her heel role. Still, a feud with Rhino and/or Christian will be good. An angry promo afterwards from Cage/Rhino would have got it over better.
Matt Morgan & Kip James vs LAX - *1/2
TNA should have done the pairings differently so as to avoid more than two sets of feuding partners and it showed here as they had run out of ways to do it. It was below mediocre, only saved by a good Morgan/Hernandez standoff.
BG James & Awesome Kong vs AJ Styles and Super Eric - **1/4
It was a refreshing change of pace to have Kong unable to dominate her opponents and I'm glad they didn't try to sell her as able to beat up AJ or Eric. The right team went through here - a Kong/Hernandez standoff wouldn't have been that great as there's no excuse to not have him completely dominate her. I knocked off 1/4* for a rare AJ botch from the top - if he was going to go for a Spiral Tap then I'm glad the botch didn't injure him.
TerrorDome - ****
MOTN for me, one of TNA's best X-Division spotfests in a while. Some fantastic spots including the super Spice Rack from Curry Man and the Flux Capacitor from Kaz. I won't knock any stars off for it, but I think it's still unforgivable to have (in my opinion) the best tag team in the USA dominated by Shark Boy. All else that took away from this was the cage bars being a bit too thick, but I like the match idea and look forward to seeing a less clustered version. Kaz was the right man to win and his feud with Williams has great potential. If it wasn't for the main event stipulation, I think Petey should have laid out Kaz when he got to the outside to keep his heat up. Full credit to TNA for giving an X-Division guy a main event slot though.
Christian Cage & Rhino vs Team 3D - ***1/4
It seems I'm definitely in the minority in thinking this was as good as the final so I'll probably watch again. I rated it highly becuase it was genuinely hard to call throughout the match - had a good dynamic with two dominant singles wrestlers against a dominant tag team, with the addition that 3D were fairly fresh while Cage/Rhino were injured. Actually now that I think about it, I'm knocking off 1/4* because they could have easily had a clean finish here to make 3D look stronger for the final - still a good match though with plenty of near falls.
AJ Styles & Super Eric vs LAX - **3/4
Could have been better with those involved, but still an entertaining match. The finish with Hector was quite unique, but spoiled by the fact that AJ's shoulders were clearly up. It would seldom have hurt either team's momentum to have LAX and 3D go over clean to build up the final.
Knockouts Match - ***1/2
I'm going to rate this match purely on the match itself, sparing it from having the following bullshit included in the rating. I thought I was going to be disappointed, watching all the entrances had put me in a bored mood and then the battle royal was nothing special, but the Gail vs Roxxi ladder match made up for it as it was the best womens match I've seen (to clarify, I've not watched much besides TNA and WWE with an occasional SHIMMER match). I would have given it ***3/4 if it was a standalone ladder match since the battle royal was average. As for what followed, it was a classic TNA needless stipulation. It got Roxxi over majorly and got heat for the Beautiful People, which made Gail winning kind of a pointless afterthought. Why couldn't Roxxi have gone over Gail in the ladder match for the same effect?
Team 3D vs LAX - ***1/2
This was a good end to the Deuces Wild tournament, with the revival of a classic TNA feud only on different sides. It drove on at a fast pace typical in TNA matches. Hector's interference with Johnny Devine was great, I've always thought he was underutilised - I did think he was going to go for a Frog Splash though. I'm very happy LAX went over, they've deserved another reign and I hope they keep the belts maybe up until BFG. A tables match or some other gimmick rematch would be good for Slammiversary, before having them feud with MCMG, Rock & Rave and perhaps AJ/Tomko if they get back together. As long as the Machineguns aren't jobbed until then, I'd happily wait a few months for their feud as I believe they're the top 2 teams in the US right now.
Samoa Joe vs Scott Steiner vs Kaz - ***3/4
I had a feeling Kurt would be willing to listen to doctors' orders this time in a match that's hardly WM19 or the Olympics. Consider my rating very tentative as I was near to falling asleep throughout the match and actually did about two minutes before the finish (I mean to say I was knackered by then, it was still a good match). Joe's early dominance looked good and Steiner and Kaz both put on good displays. The only thing I didn't like was that TNA missed an opportunity to add instant heat to a Petey/Kaz feud if he had screwed Kaz out of winning at the last minute. Also it was weird (but good) that after all the build-up, Nash didn't appear. I agree with an earlier post that the challengers need to seem more of a threat to Joe and with that said, I can't wait for Abyss to return and go after the title.
Overall Thoughts
Nothing was utterly outstanding, but I more or less enjoyed nearly every match. This was a pleasant surprise from a typically fairly pedestrian pay per view. However, what was the fucking point of the egotistical eight? Since none of the teams made it through, surely the quarters could have been done on iMPACT leaving time on PPV for a decent Storm vs Sting match and a final climax to the Roode/Booker feud, as well as more time for the other matches. I still enjoyed it all though so I suppose it worked out in the end.
Just watched the event there and can't say I was overly impressed. The crowd was dead due to them seein tag match after tag match with the same guys init. The matches themselves were all pretty average and as many of the other guys on the forum have said, the quarter finals couyld have easily taken place on impact to make more time for the semis and a few singles matches. However it was great to see LAX win the titles and I hope TNA can get them involved in a decent fued similar to there AJ/Daniels fued a while back.
As for the terrordome I was pleasantly suprised by it although I would have preffered to see Creed take the win.
The main event was never going to be a 5 star encounter and with Angle out it looked certain to stink. But credit to Steiner, he worked his balls off last night.
how could people rate more than one match over ***. There was maybe one good match as the rest ended in DQ's interference small packages...etc. For a PPV that was good on paper it was horrible. The Deuces wild had a change to make this PPV but instead they partnered the wrong people together and ruined the PPV. Roode and Storm should of been a team how were they not? Roode and Storm are great talents but TNA keeps screwing it up. LAX should have a fued with Roode and Storm as it would be crazy. Storm was great in AMW and Roode was great in Team Canada.

^What are you talking about? There were many matches that were over ***, definitely the main event, terrordome, and the tag tourny finals anyway. Plus, the women's ladder match was awesome and a couple of the other tag matches were decent.
My ratings(Didn't see Sting/Storm vs 3D)
Cage/Rhino vs Roode/Booker-**1/4
LAX vs Morgan/Kip-*1/4
AJ/Eric vs Kong/BG-**1/2(Until the botched finish, this was actually pretty damn good)
Terrordome-***1/2
Cage/Rhino vs Team 3D-**3/4(With a clean finish, I'd go over *** on this as well)
LAX vs AJ/Eric-**3/4-***
Knockouts Match-***1/4(Strictly for the women bumping in the ladder match, everything else was unnecessary.)
LAX/Team 3D-***1/2(Loved this match, better than any of their matches from 07 IMO.Hector G FTW)
Kaz/Joe/Steiner-***3/4-****(Perfectly booked, made both challengers look credible and Steiner took the pin so they didn't take the easy way out with the pin on Kaz)
It wasn't a great show, but I didn't really expect it to be. But the big matches delivered and everyone should see Terrordome, LAX/3D, and the main event.
Sting & James Storm vs Team 3D-** of ***** was ok match.
Christian Cage & Rhino vs Booker T & Robert Roode-*** of ***** pretty good match for me and loved the part where booker turned heel didn't expect that.
LAX vs Kip James & Matt Morgan-* of ***** not great really at all.
AJ Styles & Super Eric vs BG James & Awesome Kong-** of ***** decent match.
Terror Dome Match- *** of ***** One of my favorite things of the night the Terror Dome was just awesome with some great moments and glad Kaz got the win.
Team 3D vs Christian Cage & Rhino-** of ***** would have rather seen Rhino and Cage win the match personally.
LAX vs AJ Styles & Super Eric-** of ***** pretty good match here loved seeing LAX taking the win and going to the finals.
Makeover Match-**** of ***** good match and an intense one at that.
LAX vs Team 3D-*** of ***** great match for me and happy to see LAX get the tag titles.
TNA World Heavyweight Championship-*** of ***** thought this was a great match loved the events that happened great to see Kaz in the match and Joe retaining the gold all three wrestlers had strong performances.
I think to only one who make a SACRIFICE
is the TNA fans
You deserve points for that one. Also the AJ pin was hilarious, his shoulders didn't even touch the mat.
The terrordome was fine the only issue I have is that the x division guys have to battle in bunches. I miss the one on ones or the 3 ways. Every PPV it's the same crap 20 x division guys in one match.

I think 4 people would of been the perfect number inside the Terrordome (much like the original Ultimate X), that way it's not a clusterfuck but there could still be a lot of innovative spots and great action. I wasn't too keen on Kaz winning, not that I don't like him, but because he's already a solid midcarder. Having Jimmy Rave win would be more beneficial because it would strengthen the importance of RnRI because Jimmy could potentially show his greatness and come out looking strong as a part of the main event. This could then allow to set him up for a future spot as one of the top stars in the company.
