Re: Lockdown Discussion Thread
I've already given my predictions, but I still have more thoughts:
The two main events are the main reason I am ordering this PPV
Joe vs. Angle - Should be a great match and I hope it is, but I am very excited for a Samoa Joe title win. I ordered Slammiversary & Hard Justice last year in hopes of it, but this time I am 100% sure its going to actually happen this time. I can't wait.
Lethal Lockdown - I look forward to this match every year as its the closest we'll ever get to having War Games back. It is usually an awesome match (The last two were amazing, 1st one not so much) And looking at who's in it, it should be great. I am really looking forward to seeing what Morgan brings to the table. He's the major reason I want to see this match as I've been anticipating his in ring debut for a LONG time. I said in 2005 that WWE dropped the ball by letting him go, and hopefully he gets the chance to show why I said that. I think he'll be the deciding factor in the outcome.
Rest of the card is interesting. Some of the matches look pretty good, while others have me scratching my head.
Mixed Tag - Definately would have preferred Roode vs. Booker one on one, but this should be an intense match up anyway. The men are going to dominate most of the work in this match, which is apropriate and I expect some good storyline points to come into play during the match. For example, I expect them to tease Roode hitting Sharmell again only for Booker to stop him or Sharmell to duck down and give him a low blow. This could be one of the better matches on the show if they do it right.
Knockout's Tag Match - Like Lethal Lockdown with Morgan, I am excited for this match just to see what Saeed (Cheerleader Melissa) does in a TNA ring. Also, Gail Kim had a great match at Lockdown last year, and I think with Saeed, Kong & ODB helping her out, they can put together something really good.
BG vs. Kip - Like I said before, Awesome build up with the Rough Cut segment providing some really good interviews from both men, but I'm not expecting much out of the match itself. It will be decent at best, and I think I'm being a little too positive.
Xscape Match - This should be sweet. It'll be a spotfest, but what else can you ask for out of a match like this? I like that they are including some new faces in it this year as Daniels has never been in it, Devine is the only true heel in the X Division, and Creed is a promising new comer. This should open up the show with a bang.
Queen of the Cage - I think a reverse Cage Match will at the very least be easier to believe than a reverse Battle Royal. I expect the first portion of the match to be short and depending on which two girls get into the cage, it could turn out decent. Khan, Traci, & Roxxi are the three girls most likely to win it. I can see them trying to build up Khan as a legit threat to Awesome Kong, and this would be a good place to start. I would have prefered it if this were left off the card so guys in the Cuffed in the Cage match could be spread out over the show, but its nice to see TNA making thier divisions seem like they have depth and aside from the Main Event scene, the Women's division is the most stacked in the company.
Cuffed in the Cage - I have no idea what to expect out of this. I see the potential of a wild spotfest that surpasses Xscape, but I also see potential for a complete failure and the worst match on the show. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
