Re: Lockdown Discussion Thread
Joe-Angle, Lethal Lockdown, X-Division X-Scape should all be great matches, like they are each year. Throw in something with LAX/MCMG/RNR and you got something as well. The Knockouts Tag I'm looking forward to, should be good, and Roode/Booker tag should be decent.
With BG-Kip, I'm atleast hoping that these guys give the most effort they've given in years. It's probably the closest thing they've gotten to good buildup in TNA since they've been here. Nothing great here, but if they care about the match it should be decent.
And as bad as the Queen of The Cage might sound, I don't think it's on the level of The Reverse Battle Royal. Your fighting to climb over a 25 foot high Steel Cage. Not inside a ring that you could easily slide into with 0 effort. And the women in the match can wrestle a good match, so as long as it's quick and gets to the point it will be straight.
So overall, I still think it will be a good show, even if it doesn't look flawlessly great on paper. It's got what it needs still to be a good show. I'm dishing out the 30 bones.

Re: Lockdown Discussion Thread
I still think there's an outside chance that at the PPV, Booker won't allow Sharmell to compete or her and Banks will both get knocked out early and we'll get Roode/Booker one on one.
Atleast that's what I'm hoping for.
Ok, the card isn't as bad I made it to be at 1st. But, it really isn't very deep and the main events have to deliver really bigtime.(And they probably will)
I actually like Kong/Melissa vs ODB/Kim on the card, it's the mixed tag and the Queen match that just don't feel right IMO. For some reason, I feel like their gonna let BG/Kip go all out and it will end up surprising the hell outta everybody.(Once again, maybe wishful thinking)
Another thing to consider, Joe/Angle and Lethal Lockdown will both probably go in the 30+ minute range. Alot of the other matches aren't gonna get much time, so I guess that's something to take into account.
If the last match on the card ends up being MCMG/LAX/RNRI in the cage, then I'll have no problems. But if it ends up the Black Reign "Cage Of Doom" match, then I'll seriously be questioning this card even moreso.

Re: Lockdown Discussion Thread
There was no such thing as a "Cage of Doom" match. I don't know why you people listen to Steve Gerweck.

It has nothing to do with Gerweck, there clearly is build there for some kind of Super Eric vs The Monsters match.
And if it's between that and the 3 way tag match, obviously you know the choice.
Even if it doesn't end up being a stupid gimmick match, I still don't want that on the card.

I think the last match go to be Latin American Xchange and Kaz and Eric Young vs Rock N' Rave and Black Reign and Rellik.
I just do not see tna keep Eric Young and Kaz off Lockdown ppv.

Re: Lockdown Discussion Thread
On TNAwrestling.com, it says that next week on Impact the final matches for Lockdown will be announced.
That leads me to believe they will announce more than one, probably LAX/MCMG/RNRI and Young/Kaz vs Reign/Rellik. I have no problem with both matches on the card, except that makes 9 matches and it seems like they would go for less since the 2 main events should take up alot of time.
I'm thinking the womens queen match may end up on the pre-show or something like that.

I think your over-analyzing right now. Final matches, is final card. They'll probably add one more match, and run down the whole card as usual. Lockdown usually only goes for 8 matches total every year. And especially this year with the Double Main Event, which should take up big time minutes deservingly.
It'll probably be LAX vs. Motor City vs. Rock-N-Rave in a DX Rematch for the #1 Contenderships.
I could see them doing Young/Kazarian vs. Rellik/Black Reign on the pre-show.

Except for the fact that they replaced that format on the website which only showed 8 slots. They used it for Final Resolution, AAO, DX, and initially Lockdown too. Why would they have changed it up unless there were gonna be more than 8 matches on the card?
And your essentially saying what I said, just replacing the womens match with the other match on the pre-show/dark match. Obviously 1 of the matches is gonna end up in that spot most likely, the only thing is which one.
