Just read on Gerweck that TNA considers DesX as a throwaway PPV. They are thinking alreadu about building up Lockdown. This sucks. TNA Management is getting on my nerves.

I'm not sure how much I believe that.

Final Resolution and AAO both weren't major PPV's like Lockdown, and they were both pretty damn good.

Look at the main event... It says enough.

WWE has "throwaway" ppvs, why shouldn't TNA.

This is an unfortunate side effect of the "once a month" PPV format. Other shows are going to be less emphasized than others.

Not every PPV is going to be built as a "grand event" Their big PPVs are Lockdown, Slammiversary, and Bound for Glory, much like WWE's Big Shows are Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series. All shows in between are just killing time in between the biggies. Doesn't mean those shows don't offer anything good mind you. No Way Out is technically a "Throwaway PPV" and those that ordered it got two Elimination Chamber Matches. DX is offering some good things too. Booker/Roode which has been well built, either Gail vs. ODB vs. Kong or ODB vs. Gail (those that read the spoilers know for sure which way they are going with that), Petey vs. Lethal, and a huge gimmick match in Elevation X.

As for the main event: Its a perfect precursor to the Joe/Angle main event for Lockdown. What did Joe say on Impact: "If I am going to have a fair shot at the title, I need to take out the Angle Alliance" so doesn't it make sense that the match should be Joe and two partners vs. the entire Angle Alliance?

Tag Team Main Events have been used to build even bigger main events before. For example:

Shawn Michaels, Ahmed Johnson, & Sid vs. Bulldog, Owen, & Vader led to Michaels vs. Vader at Summerslam.

Taker & Austin vs. Kane & Mankind at Fully Loaded 1998 led to Taker vs. Austin at Summerslam 1998.

It's an idea that works.

And it also gets other guys on the card by having all the top guys in one match. What does that mean? They all get paychecks.

"thorw away" or not the ppv seems pretty good and the ppv itself can deliver the goods as usual and its good there already focused on lockdown cuz many awesome things can happen during that ppv besides just anlge vs joe(which is a very good main event)

Those weren't really looked at as throw aways though, even if they were fine ppvs.

By throwaway I doubt they mean "i dont give a fuck about this show" or whatever. I think they just mean, they don't want to give away the big matches on this PPV, and they'd rather wait to build those up for Lockdown. TNA could have easily just done Joe-Angle for DX.

Throw away is probably the worst name, but DX seems more like a leap-frog PPV. That's just being used to build the big time matches for the bigger PPV.

2 Titles are on the line at the PPV, all 4 will be at Lockdown most likely. Joe-Angle, Gail-Kong, Lethal-Dutt?, Styles/Tomko-MCMG?. So yea.

^yea prob.what tna is doing with the dx ppv but for the title matches i see joe vs angle, kim vs kong, petey vs steiner(i think petey will win then steiner finally using his x title match being a "freindly match"but steiner thinking he will beat petey as he beat him twice then dutt turn on lethal during or after the match starting there own feud)and aj/tomko vs lax(if theres a title contenders match for the titles between lax vs rock/rave vs mmg at dx ppv i see rock/rave being as made as a legit. tag team but lossing the match/mmg are i nthe doghouse for a while so thats a instant lose for them so lax are likly contenders now)

Actually, because Styles & Tomko will most likely be in the Lethal Lockdown, they either won't be defending or will lose their titles on iMPACT.

Just watched TNA Today, and Borash said something about which ever group wins the 3 matches this Thursday, meaning 2 out of 3, or clean sweeeeeep. Then that team gets the advantage at Destination-X this Sunday for several minutes.

So this match might start out 3 on 3. Could be elimination rules as well too, I dunno, but they said they'd talk about it on iMPACT! This thursday.

The ending to the Ultimate X should have someone falling onto the announce table.
